About Me
Born and raised in small farm town of Caledonia,MI, USA, born #3 of 5 kids, father being sole provider.
First job out of high school was constructing grain silos, then on to factory making small speaker cabinets - got tired of going home with both my nose and hair being full of sawdust.
Upgraded to factory job with higher pay in office furniture market with improved work environment. Managed to keep that for 30+ yrs.
In the meantime I had been approached by 2 MLM's in my early 20's- which I turned down.
Enjoyed being single until late 20's, gained a family, house. That lasted 16 years before having to part ways, still as friends. Had also worked myself into poor health that was threatening not only my job, but my life as well-literally!
Ended up in quite rural area with 2 young kids, short of funds and needing to be with them during evening. Found and answered Work-At-Home ad in weekly shopper newspaper.
Well, also during this course of time, I had taken an interest in herbal remedies. But due to knowledge that if not taken properly, could do more harm than good. So, I held back.
Crazy how things work out.
First, the company I responded to happened to be a leading nutritional health & wellness company, specializing in herbal nutrition, complete with a no-brainer guide to knowing how to use them properly, plus training on what different parts of the body needed what.
Second, it just happened to be one of the two I had said no to 20 years before. Needless to say, I joined the company right away. Unfortunately, never had chance to establish a relationship with my sponsor, to whom I owe a debt of gratitude.
Of course,I was initially after the money, the do-it-yourself health & wellness plan, as I call it, came as a bonus!
It was also at this time I was introduced to Robert Kiyosokis' book- "Rich DaD, Poor Dad". This book changed my life forever and changed my whole perspective regarding money matters. It led me onto my path of learning about many ways of investing- some unique in nature.
Fate has a funny way of leading you somewhere. I hate to think of where and/or what condition I'd be in right now if I hadn't come across this company when I did or vice-versa.
If I hadn't of had to change my relationship status, I wouldn't of been eventually been placed into the situation that led me to seek that type of income, which due to nature of company, helped me get my health back to where it was 20 years before.
The company that I was employed with, slowly downsized in both size and pay with increase in cost of healthcare. I had been wanting to leave, but didn't want to lose what benefits I had accumulated.
The day came when they offered many of us a way out. If not for my business, I would not of been able to accept it.
I now show people how by investing in their food vs renting it sort-of via various methods, they could not only save money, they could earn money as well!
Since banks are saying "saving is the new earning", people could be "earning" at least 2 ways.
I also pass on to those interested the "what needs what, how much and what it doesn't need" in regards to the body via material and information I receive.
It's been through my observation that many people are poor, simply because they make poor choices. These poor choices added up, amount to an low estimated average of $3,000.00/year, wasted. Sadly, most people aren't willing to change, even if it means they could be increasing their bank accounts. Imagine what a difference it would make in today's economy if they'd be willing to change at least half way.
In process of developing a brick and mortar type business concept called a Nutrition Club along with learning more about online marketing/advertising.
This is in addition to constantly doing personal development and keeping up with various ways to improve my financial IQ.
I also enjoy the freedom of being there when my family needs me, like lately being able to babysit my 2year old grand-daughter, being available for my dad.Just having the time to enjoy life with them more vs being under the axe if company said they needed me at a moments notice despite having plans made months prior.
