Rodney M. Sykes

Hello fellow entrepreneurs. My name is Rodney M. Sykes, and I am very excited to be a part of this network.

A little about me: I am married to the best woman in the world, my wife Nicole, who happens to have the same mindset as many of us in this community. She is constantly supportive of my business ventures and she also knows when to give me a nudge to stay focused.

I "actually" enjoy spending time with my wife shopping for various things. I like action/adventure movies, as well as Internation Espionage type films. Going to the beach, reading personal growth books and mags, eating out, or just having a Philly Cheese-Steak at home with my wife is totally cool with me.

I won't say I'm a fitness enthusiast or a lover of it, but I get it in. I do have a good amount of knowledge about fitness though. I've been reading fitness mags since 1982, and I was 298 pounds. Now I'm 195 pounds, and feeling great!

What I hope to gain from Better Networker is simple. I want to develop great relationships with positive, goal-focused individuals that wish to be inspired and informed, while being inspirational and informative to me.

While I continue to grow as a leader and as a Internet Entrepreneur, I still have a full-time job as a sales consultant in the luxury auto industry. Yes I still put in 55 hour weeks! Now I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how difficult it has become to survive in that business. With the economic down-turn, doom & gloom all over, and CNN scaring people to death every minute. It's hasn't been fun. But even more...I beleive that internet marketing and the ability to provide a service or product online is the business of the future.

I feel companies that fail to adjust to the new method of doing business will struggle to make it. Example...remember Bell Atlantic telephone operators? I bet they thought their jobs would never fade. But as soon as we were able to keep our entire contact list in a phone, call and receive at will, from anyplace world wide,It was over for those guys.

Here's another example....

Ten years ago, or even five years ago, would you or any of us for that matter. Even think of buying a three thousand dollar TV from the internet or a shopping network. I'll answer that for you...hell no!

First of all, we never looked at the picture, heard the sound, or even touched it. But this is happening every minute of everyday right now!

It's called "CHANGE"

Now with that said, this is why I chose to align myself and my future with people that not only recognize this change, but are able to capitalize on it.
