About Me
My career in marketing began in 1992 after graduating from the University of St Thomas in St Paul, MN. I began utilizing and teaching a "self-funded" method of advertising-- a strategy I call FLIP marketing-- to countless small business retailers and individuals. Through the 90's I continued to implement and expand FLIP marketing with clients throughout the US and with a variety of business categories and industries.
Interestingly enough, the primary benefit of FLIP marketing is not all that different from that of the "funded proposal" concept discussed in Magnetic Sponsoring; specifically, this is a marketing plan that generates revenue instead of expenses. As a result, the marketing aspect of your business "FLIPs" from the "expense" side of your business to the "income" side. In 2002 I wrote The Faster Vehicle to instruct small business owners how to utilize FLIP marketing to the fullest.
In 2000 I switched from small business "brick & mortar" retailing to the world of e-commerce, and within two years I had helped turn a small internet start-up operation into a $70 million business. It was in 2007 that I really got interested in the model of network marketing, or MLM, and in particular how I could apply The Faster Vehicle to that model. I have since amended The Faster Vehicle to specifically guide the reader to the concept of Magnetic Sponsoring. The benefit that I can offer the reader has increased ten-fold; I can now instruct him or her to use the principles of FLIP marketing without the thousands of phone calls and years of business-to-business selling I went through to learn and grow this strategy. The power of the internet, the model of network marketing, and the top-notch instruction of Magnetic Sponsoring make it easy by comparison! I recently launched MLMaboutface.com to help teach this very subject.
I currently reside in Oakdale, MN with my wife and two kids. In addition to marketing studies, my interests and passions include travel, exercise & fitness, and music.
