Interests

Interests:
My interests include network marketing: I’m always trying to dig deeper to get a peek behind the scenes which gives me a clear picture of what this phenomenon is truly about. I love the Arts, so music, dance and theatre are true passions of mine. I don’t get to experience them, nearly as often as I would like, but I’m confident that will soon change. If you have never been on a mission’s trip to another country, I certainly encourage you to go on one, because it will certainly change your prospective on life. That is why Missions is close to my heart; although I’ve only been on one short-term trip, I plan to go on many, many more to different regions in South America, before venturing off to see the rest of the world. Lastly, but certainly not lease, I love the outdoors, and the beauty of nature it encompasses; so camping, whitewater rafting, hiking, biking, exploring, etc. all appeals to me, and I can’t wait to experience these activities again, some for the very first time. My imagination really takes flight when I’m in this environment, because it brings me back to my childhood. I remember, being very adventurous, daring and curious as a child, and that little girl within has been anxious to come out a play for some time now.

Activities:
Rejoining Rejoice Ministries in Praise Dance Ministry. Short-term (meaning 6 months to a year) Mission trips to Belize, Brazil and Guatemala. There is something about the South American countries that draws me. Getting my home based business up and started, and not only that but flourishing. I really want to learn the ins and outs of starting, growing and maintaining a homebased business, and teach others to do the same; truly enveloping the heart and spirit of an entreprenaur. Learning to speak Spanish fluently, as well as other languages.

Favorite Authors:

Favorite Quotes:
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'who am I to be brillant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing elightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."....A Return to Love -Marianne Williamson "No more being held back, i'm going to get it all in Jesus name" -Ron McIntosh Let people feel the full weight of who you are, and let them deal with it-unknown

About Me

Where I Am Going:

In order for you to know where I am going; you must first understand where I have come from. My first exposure to “network marketing” was back in 1998, before I even knew what it was. I had become involved with a well known nutritional company, which was all about recruiting and selling. I didn’t feel right about doing that, and it showed, because I was horrible at it, and that hasn’t changed about me to this day. Needless to say that business didn’t even get out of the garage. IF no one has ever told you, let me be the first to say this; if you LACK selling and recruiting skills, count that as a positive asset because that is a very GOOD THING, so don’t ever let anyone tell you differently.

Fast forward a couple of years to 2003, I found myself at another seminar where this time the company pitched there ideal about how to help small businesses gain exposure and market their business on the internet. Now we’re getting closer, because I’m all about helping others, but again I hate selling, not to mention I had no experience at this, and had no clue what I was doing, because the support and mentoring just wasn’t there. Again, I failed at this before I even got started. I hope, you are starting to see a pattern here, and are able to somewhat relate in your own story.

Now we get to the here and now. I have heard insanity defined as doing the same thing over and over; expecting different results, talk about banging your head against a brick wall. Now, I have to admit, I can be pretty stubborn and hard headed, and I know those two words get a bad rap, but I see my stubbornness and hard headedness as my resolve to never give up, no matter how many times I fall, or fail, or hear the word no, or others tell me I can’t. When you look at it in that manner, I believe we all should be a little more stubborn and hard headed. Now on the flip side of that coin, being stubborn and hard headed can lead you down that road of insanity, because you are continually doing the same thing; granted it may be packaged differently, all the while hoping, praying and expecting it to magically work this time, but it won’t. Well my friend, slap a straight jacket on me and call me insane, because I did it again!! I got hooked up with, not one, not two but three companies, within the course of two months that promised me the moon and stars. That would be a combined total of about $7,000.00 down the drain, since 1998 from my attempts at network marketing. It’s a small amount compared to some stories I have heard, but still enough to make anyone want to cry, and yet this has not destroyed my dreams. Why is that?

I know some of you may be asking that same question, either about my story or your own. You may even be saying that my resolve to never say die, seemed to be working against me, and I would say it does appear that way, but only to those looking on the surface. I have to admit, that I almost didn’t see it either until I took a deeper look behind the scenes. It was truly a life lesson that had come to me through all the struggles, hard times and failures; a gold nugget I had gained unbeknownst to me; and that is in order to have success you have get beyond the ideal of defeat. My failures, hard times and struggles, didn’t destroy me they made me stronger and gave me a little more knowledge and understanding into wasn’t working for me, as they will do the same for you, if you allow yourself to be teachable by your mistakes. I don’t know about you, but that is how I learn best, by making mistakes. There’s nothing wrong with that or anything to be beat yourself over the head with; learn to use it to your advantage, so that you grow from it and move on. Now granted some of us have to keep repeating the same mistakes, before the light bulb comes on, as it was with my case, but that’s ok, because it finally did click for me, and now I’m ready to continue on, helping all who ask along the way.

Hi, Sarah, Thanks for contacting me. It’s nice to know that people actually use the social sites for socializing. I can really identify with you in regard to MLM or Internet marketing for that matter. My wife and I have also spent years and thousands of dollars on Internet home based business without success or even making any money to speak off. I’d estimate that over the years on various endeavors we made maybe - maybe $500.00. Like you I finally gave up on trying to sell things that nobody wants. I can’t sell anything either. I refuse to hassle my friends and neighbors and that’s what most of these MLM companies want you to do. Now, my wife doesn’t have a problem hassle friends and neighbors, but that hasn’t worked either. Like you I decided to do something in which I can first and foremost help people and in doing so if I can help myself that wound be great, but if not that’s OK too. So instead of trying to sell something that nobody wants, I’m now giving something away that everybody wants. Don’t get my wrong I’m not trying to sell you on anything, I’m just telling you about my journey. On another subject, I see that you’re into Christian ministry. So am I. I love preaching and teaching, but especially teaching. Teaching is were my heart is and in teaching historical theology in particular. My wife and I are currently studying a series by a born-again Christian Jew named Michael Rood, who takes historical theology beyond anything I’ve yet to learn before. I’ve also done various other jobs in churches and even played the guitar in a Christian rock band. Do you believe that at my age? I’ve never been on a mission trip, but my grandson has been on several, including South America, Guatemala, I think. Well I guess that’s all for now. Feel free contact me anytime at edvacin@gmail.com or call at 918-955-8978. Ed Vacin

Hello Sarah. Thanks for the guest book entry. Thanks for the facebook.com connection. I look forward to learning from you and sharing ideas. I discovered that "solving problems" and "manifesting dreams" are different ways of saying the same thing and the most awesome thing about the MLM industry which is why I'm so fired up about it. I can plainly see what it can do for personal development and leadership training and what it can do for communities, cities and nations. The shifting economic landscape makes MLM a more viable and natural alternative in home business. We networkers are really dream manifestors which is a high and noble calling.
