About Me
Before I get down to business, I thought I'd start with a brief view of my personal life. This is relevant to show that I'm no different than anyone else. I'm just a normal human being with a normal life striving to meet everyday life and personal goals.
I grew up in a small town of about 3000 people and today manage to live in another small town of about the same size. I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas for almost a decade. After running out of money, despite holding two part-time jobs, I decided to end my college career with 134 credit hours and no degree. Thanks to the Grace of God, I eventually wound up with my labor career. For 16 years now I have been an Electrician. I did the next best thing and married a Grad from the same university. She is High School teacher here in the town that we live in. We have been married for almost 16 years. We have two boys, 15 and 12 years of age. One of my favorite hobbies is vegetable gardening.
Being an Electrician has been very good to us. I wouldn't be where I am today without it. (Side Note)....Please feel free to contact me if you have any electrical problems... I'll see what I can do to help. However, I realized that I can't do this kind of work the rest of my life and just get by, especially with the way the economy cycles. Not to mention, eventually putting two boys through college and trying to save up for retirement.... whatever and whenever that may be.
So now for my ventures:
I attempted and looked into the internet business just over 2 years ago. I purchased for $47 some data entry program. What a scam. I looked at it and didn't even get through to the end. My first taste of INFORMATION OVERLOAD. That lasted a couple of months of spinning in circles.
Last year, I stumbled upon a couple of items. One turned out to be yet another scam but at least I didn't blow any money on it. So I tried and again I was faced with too much INFORMATION OVERLOAD. I hung it up and put everything away. In the meantime, I did manage to save a few sites here and there either to my email inbox, to my favorites tab or saved to my external hard drive for future reference.
With my hours being cut back at my labor job... about 6 weeks ago I stumbed again on some ideas and sites. Only this time, I decided to embrace and tackle the internet business head on. Ideas became common to me. I started making decisions, researching, grasping tidbits of knowledge, jotting down quotes. My mind thinks in a totally different fashion than it did last year and even two years ago. I found that you have to sell yourself first before you can ever sell a product. Then you have to believe in not only yourself but what it is that your selling.
I don't have all the answers. Maybe what and how I do things, are the hard way but that's how I learn. I created my own site from my compilation of various sources. It's a work in progress but it's my BABY. Feel free to check it out.
Strictly Simple Affiliate Marketing
Six months ago, my wife being a scientist and a "live off the land" type of person, decided she was going to make home-made soap. What started out as personal consumption project has taken off into the form of a business. We started off with one type, Bare Basic -- no scent just natural coloring. Today, we have grown to +45 scents and colors. It's a family hands on approach. I am proud to be the co-owner of:
