Most of us have seen the commercial with the catch phrase, “Can You Hear Me Now?” If you use a cell phone you have most likely used that exact phrase and, depending on the response, you made a minor adjustment such as of moving a few feet to the other side of the room. Just that simple adjustment can make a major difference in hearing the person on the other end. The same is true in our lives. A minor adjustment can make a major difference!
In John 21:5-7 the disciples had been fishing all night and had caught nothing. They were about to row their boat ashore when Jesus asked them, “Friends, haven’t you caught any fish?” “No”, they answered, “we have been fishing all night and haven’t caught any fish”. Jesus said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, the net could not hold the huge amount of fish.
A minor adjustment was all they needed to receive the major abundance God had for them.
