About Me

Greetings, and thanks for checking out my bio.  Just so we're clear, I am not an MLM enthusiast. In fact, I have strong negative feelings about business models that not only allows, but even trains its people to do whatever it takes to get ahead.  All MLM's that I know of charge you to get involved and charge you to sell and represent their interests. They often preach, "Do whatever it takes to get ahead." And while you're busy making them money and giving them more of your money they will be kind enough to suggest that if you persevere long enough, then you too, might make it rich someday...maybe...but no guarantees you understand.

So, if I am so negative then what am I doing here? Good question. See, I believe It's time to break the model. It's time to do things differently. Now, I don't pretend to have all the answers, but I believe good guys can win and good guys don't win by taking advantage of others.

This is going to sound strange, but it does tie my point together...did you know that Lex Luthor (Superman's arch enemy) does not know he's evil?  He believes that he is really Superman and that Superman is evil.  Huh?  The point is we sometimes do the wrong thing for what seems to be the right reason at least in our own minds...So we have to be on guard against brain washing and misplaced trust. Many MLM companies will try to sell you on the idea that the ends justify the means.  Do whatever it takes to be successful in our company and then when you make it big you will have the power to really make a positive change in the world. (Incidentally, that's the same promise the ring of power makes to everyone in the book, Lord of the Rings)

I have heard more than one MLM company tell it's members to recruit everybody in eye sight. "If you can see them then you should tell them about this great opportunity."  I disagree. Not everyone should be in business for themselves, let alone with me.  For example, I don't really want to go into a business opportunity with my Aunt Gertrude. I love her dearly, but believe me, I don't need the headache of helping her launch a home business, let alone the coldheart I would have to have to watch her slowly throw her money away and fail. Nope...it's not going to happen. Consequently, I refuse to swallow much of the garbage my MLM would have me consume.  I encourage you to do the same. Question everything and ask yourself, "is it worth the cost?"  (What does a man gain if he rules the world but loses his soul?)

I absolutely believe in the win-win-win scenario and the win-win business model. Yes, you can be successful. Yes, your MLM can be successful too, but not from breaking the backs of it's recruits, but by the ethical promotion of it's superior product line.  (Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door.)

Today, I am, in every sense of the word, very successful and I will continue to be successful, but only if my business model is run with respect and integrity. If I have to convince myself that that ends justify the means then I've already failed...it should be common knowledge that the ends do not justify the means in the same way we should always know two evils can never make a right.

I want to do things right. I'm here to learn how and to encourage you to do the same!

To your success,

Doug
