Taurea Avant’s story….a story of totally following the system of going to school, getting good grades, graduating from college with a bachelors degree to ending up dead broke with no benefits. After graduating from Hampton University with a degree in Computer Science she quickly found that the opportunities of obtaining financial freedom on my job were not possible. She worked for over a year over and beyond for a company who didn’t have enough respect for my talent to bring me in permanently. She then left and found a job doing something she loved however not making the amount of money she was told she would make with her degree. Then the turning point in Taurea’s life happened.

Her father, her hero, her last living parent was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. This totally turned her life upside down. She found myself in a place loneliness and complete lost. She had to watch him go through this disease and ultimately be defeated. One thing that stayed with her was the thought that if he had the opportunity to do everything he wanted in life. Did he have to make to excuses? Did he lose his will to dream? Well she vowed from then on to not let this happen to her.

She then moved to Atlanta, GA in hopes of starting my own business in web design. Well unfortunately long story short, it failed. However we know that the most successful people in the world are also the worlds biggest failures so she never let that hold her down. Most of us would have given up.

She was then introduced to the home based business industry and quickly learned the power of online branding. At the age of just 28 years she found success and earned over 6 figures. A self-published author and self proclaimed “Finanical GPS” she took her knowledge of the internet and moved her marketing to the world wide web. Taurea has appeared on television programs and training seminars through the United States. She is also scheduled to speak at many Universities coming up one include Savannah State University on December 5th, 2010.

Taurea’s ultimate goal is to help others to succeed and learn to always always always have a plan B. She currently tours Northern USA mentoring other future leaders of the entrepreneur world. Her specialty is in helping entrepreneurs find their niche and learning how to market it specifically to the market place. Taurea totally believes in the quote that there is nothing wrong with having a Job, it’s just when you ONLY have a job.
