Ngatupuna Jonassen

I am a grandmother of 23 beautiful grand children.  I have 9 children.  My goal is to help other people become financially independent and stress free so that they can live a happy life with their loved ones.  I used to be involved in helping women and with translation for the Cook Island community. 

At the moment I am helping one of my grandsons named Tauei-O-Tinomana Konitanitai Napa Jonassen (Boss) to make a positive transition from adolescence into adulthood.  I believe that through arts and sports he will be able to achieve independence.  I also believe that I am able to help others who are in a similar situation. 

Boss has been diagnosed with Ring22 which is a chromosome disorder which sets him apart from others.  He is not able to talk, but he can walk and make noise in order for him to communicate with others. 

Boss also has a occupational therapist, physio therapist and speech language therapist who work alongside to help and support him.  He is a very loving individual.  He is 15years old and sometimes he can be tricky and plays games with us.  There is nothing wrong with his hearing.  He needs close supervision because he can't fend for himself.  I am currently trying to find a way for him to do things for himself.  Perhaps oneday a miracle will occur and Boss will be independent and suprise all of us by saying "Hi Nana!".
