About Me

This Blog will contain bits and pieces of my life. If you want to get to know the real me, drop me a note and we'll see what happens. I've had a little piece of cyberspace here since June of 2008. My nick has been around online for considerably longer, as I first started as an AOL member all the way back in 1990 or so. I guess that makes me an "early adopter" of a lot of things. I'm a geek; I'm spiritual, but not religious; I'm very passionate about life; I'm a cancer survivor; I'm impulsive; my friends are my family; I have a cat; I live alone; I drive a purple 2006 Chevy HHR which I dearly love; I'm harder on myself that anyone else; I'm an over-achiever; my shoulders are broad enough to cry on; I'll offer advice without judgement as I've made lots of mistakes on my own; I love to cook and I love to make other people laugh. I'm not easy to either get to know or become close to, but those I do count as friends know that I will do anything in my power to help. I am a force to be reckoned with.

Hey, I just read a post (yours!)about reading that got me thinking, why not a book club here on BN? So, I just created a group and would love it if you'd join. Whoever opts in this week, we'll vote on a book for January - I'm thinking something short and sweet - and get started. We'll pick a book for February in the last week of January. Hi Melinda, So funny to remember back to the early AOL days. God how frustrating it all was in terms of speed and such.
