Most of my life.  I have suffered from a lack of self-esteem.  I was a shy, quiet kid who grew up to be a shy, quiet grown up. 

When I graduated from high school, I went to college because that was what I was "supposed to do" if I wanted a good job.  I graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Marketing degree. 

I knew I liked sales and marketing, but I still really didn't know what I wanted to do with my life.  After having various sales jobs,  I decided to start my own business in May 2002.  My mission was to help people save time, reduce stress and simplify their hectic schedules. 

Being in business for myself helped me improve my low self-esteem.  I found it very gratifiying being able to make a living by helping other people. However, I soon found out when you are working by yourself, you are limited as to how much you can accomplish by yourself.  (There are only so many hours in a day!)

During this time, I was exposed to Network Marketing several times.  I enrolled in several different companies.  Usually what happened then was my sponsor would quit, and I would receive very little, if any training.  I would sponsor a few people from my warm market, but eventually I would get discouraged then quit.

Each time I always convinced myself that I was not cut out for Network Marketing; I was not deserving of success, etc. etc.  Does this sound familiar to anyone else?? 

I knew that Network Marketing has worked for many, many people.  I also felt that if I could only get some training from a company and an upline that genuinely wanted to help people make their lives better, then I too, could have success!

This trend continued until a short while ago....  It was at this time I found out about a company called Yoli.  Then I went "shopping" online for a sponsor.  This time I was determined to find a sponsor who had the same passion for helping people that I had. 

I feel very blessed that I met my sponsor.  I look forward to working with him, and also working with the many members of betternetworker.com to help change people's lives for the better, through this wonderful industry of Network Marketing.
