About Me
I love the outdoors, skiing, hiking, boating, scuba diving, fishing, camping, horseback riding, stargazing or just admiring a spectacular sunset. People inspire me, and I love to hear their stories. I am a professional student with aspirations of sharing the best of what I consume. Where did I come from? Not much different than most others . . . . here's my story:
As a busy teenager, I was squeezing a job in between homework, a boyfriend and a social life and then I went on to college and a full time job.
My summer job turned into a thirty one year career in the grocery industry! I had the great oppportunity of learning alot about people during that time and also in helping to manage people's personal expectations and goals. Whether it was a department manager or a brand new employee, allowing people to flourish in a nurturing environment, with small, achievable goals provided a happy, growing business! It was a win win for everyone.
Making the right choices in all areas of your life can be a challenge at times. For me, I could see the writing on the wall and after 31 years my job was bought out. I realized that, in this shaky economy, it was more important than ever before to take charge of one's own destiny. Do it today, before someone else does it for you.
