About Me
Creating a great day today? I hope you are. If you're here you're probably looking for more stuff about me. Let me make it easy for you:
The Personal Stuff:
You know, I thought about putting alot of Henry David Thoreau and Napoleon Hill stuff here, but I thought..."Nah!". I love traveling, new culture, hosting parties. We've got a limited time on this planet and we should enjoy every minute of it.
The Professional Stuff:
I was 12 years old.
The lush green mahogany trees were fresh with morning dew.
It was 8am.
The northeasterly tradewinds brought in a whiff of the salty sea breeze from Jamaica Beach.
The car was quiet.
My brother was riding shotgun and I was in the backseat. Nothing unusual there. Older siblings always did get first dibs on things growing up anyway.
What was unusual was the quiet which was only interrupted by the occasional pothole on this old stretch of road between Tower Isle and Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Dad broke the silence.
"My wish for both of you as my sons, is to surpass me. Do more than I have done".
"Whaaaat? More than YOU?" is what I thought to myself quietly. I would never dare to speak back to my father. He was a gentle but stern man. You've got to understand though, he's a straight A student, got a bachelor's, master's, and PhD in addition to being a medical doctor. Did I mention that he got a full paid scholarship to become a doctor?
Yeah. Become surpass him he says...
Flash forward 9 years. Those words still stick with me. I realized that the only way I could become better was to do something he never did. I'd always dreamed about it. My best friend and I dreamed about it and prayed about it from the 1st grade. That dream was to break the shackles of financial bondage.
I saw a way to do that through owning my own business. With 3 years of telecom industry experience under my belt, 1 year of web development experience, I'm bringing that dream into reality.
