I was born and raised on a farm in Germany to a family that taught me to be curious about the world from an early age. So, after I earned my Abitur I went to the US to Seattle, WA and did my Undergraduate Studies in Business at the University of Washington. From there I came back to Munich in Germany and worked for BMW in their Personnel department, doing a lot of cool things like creating a "rate your supervisor" system. I then moved to Boston and earned my MBA at Harvard Business School.
As I had always been interested in true business leadership, I joined Procter & Gamble in Brand Management. And then for over 20 years I had a blast improving the lives of our customers in big and small ways and building $800million in additional turnover for P&G in the process. I moved several times and got to know many fascinating countries and people. Most recently I followed my real passion for understanding customer motivations and turning this into powerful business ideas and became the leader for putting together and teaching the Best Practices for this foundational business strategy across the entire business portfolio.
At the end of 2009 it became time to return "home" to Germany in order to spent more time with my aging parents as I didn't want them to pass away while I was far away. I want to still spent some quality time with them. To achieve this, I had to leave Procter & Gamble. But as I have always had a very entrepreneurial streak, I am now excited to become a home business owner and just really make my own contributions to other business owners.
