Interests:
Through teaching I discovered I have a tendency to be creative. This is a very handy ability to develop where one is confronted with students with different learning abilities as well as different languages. I once had a classroom of 7 year olds from about 10 different countries all speaking different languages and few speaking English. The challenge was great but the reward was even greater. I enjoy being on the water and that includes kayaking and sailing. I have participated in the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race for the last two years where our boat, Prom Queen, won the entire race in 2009. Other interests are cycling (possibly a motorcycle in the next year or so), yoga, reading, learning about new cultures, and still traveling but avoiding the tourist traps.

Activities:
I am keen to learn more about how to benefit from the internet. I enjoy making videos but would like to learn to really do them well. Having been in the art business for ten years, I had the benefit of getting to see art videos which whetted my appetite to try my hand at this also. I enjoy interior decorating on the cheap. I like to see how well I can put together thrift shop finds that have been given a new life with new fabrics and coats of paint.
