Paul J. Meyer, Les Brown Napoleon Hill
“Attitude is everything.” “Communication - the human connection - is the key to personal and career success.” “Success is the progressive realization of predetermined, worthwhile, personal goals.” “Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.” Paul J. Meyer “If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.” “It has always been my belief that a man should do his best, regardless of how much he receives for his services, or the number of people he may be serving or the class of people served.” “You can start right where you stand and apply the habit of going the extra mile by rendering more service and better service than you are now being paid for.” Napoleon Hill
Follow Me On
“You Must Not Quit”
“When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seem all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is strange with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns;
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow;
You may succeed with another blow!
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell just how close you are;
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit;
When things seem worst, you must not quit.”
What Did I Do? – I QUIT!
How Many Times Have You Quit?
I Quit! I didn’t want to hear about MLM anymore. People kept telling me I could become financially free. You’ve seen the ads, maybe even written a few of them yourself. I know I have. “Amazing Opportunity…” – “Seeking Additional Income…” – “Achieve Financial Freedom…” – “Chance of a Lifetime…” – “Special Opportunity…” – “Serious Networkers Needed…” – “Exceptional Opportunity…” – “Perfect Timing-Don’t Miss It!”
I tried it nine times. Nine different opportunities. I thought I was with the wrong company. But none of them seemed to work. It just didn’t happen for me and so – I Quit. But the words of Paul J. Meyer kept resonating in my mind. “Success is the progressive realization of predetermined, worthwhile, personal goals.” “Attitude is everything.” What was I doing wrong? What was I not doing? Why wasn’t it happening for me? Time and time and time and time again, I had talked with my family, friends and acquaintances. They were tired of me bothering them. I would possibly get more warmth and better reception at the North Pole than I was getting from my warm market. My warm market was an iceberg. And soooooo…, I decided that MLM / Network Marketing wasn’t for me. And while I was in the Middle of trying something different -- BAM!! -- It Happened! The year was 2009. But before I tell you exactly what happened, let me tell you a little about myself.
Georgia – Peaches and Pines
My name is Wanda Joy Reese. I was raised up in Georgia Woods and…I am still here. The peaches are good, but when the wind is up –Watch out for the Pines. Am I a country girl? There are varying and mixed opinions. A decision has not been reached as-of-yet.
I am a Published Author with copyrighted work. Detail oriented. In one of my books (not published) – ‘Sentimental Reflections’ – I relive, in poetic form, some of the previous events in my life and the life of a few acquaintances.
What Was School Like
Schooling was a few years back. During my school years I had a serious problem. I was a perfectionist. The Only grade I was willing to Accept was 100 or Zero. Nothing in between. It was All or Nothing. I didn’t want or wouldn’t take Anything Else. I’ve long since grown past that. Now, I will gladly accept a 97.
One of my Science teachers enjoyed giving test. Strangely enough, his test were neither multiple choice or fill in the blank. The test were not written. Two examples: We were given a copy of the ‘Periodic Chart of Elements’. Our assignment or test-Each student would stand in front of the class and state the Name, Symbol and Atomic Number of each Element. There are 106 Chemical Elements.
Another test – We stood in front of the class and named each bone in our body while pointing out its location. He was not my favorite teacher, but I learned a lot. He gave us a challenge. It seems that he thought we were taking Chemistry and Anatomy, but this was a Science class, we were in the sixth grade.
I Made the Grade
I am a reader. I love reading. No fiction or mysteries. For me, it must be beneficial, to learn, understand and increase my knowledge base. I’ve always had an interest in Health and Wellness, Nutrition and Natural Remedies. It is a joy to see challenges lead to successful outcomes as I encourage others to adopt habits that are conducive to healthy living and a higher quality of life and inform them of the resources available to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Having a good relationship with associates and acquaintance is very important. Getting together with friends to prepare a meal or snack and share quality time.
Main Event: I Quit – How It All Got Started
My Secular work history consists of work in the fields of Personal Care, Healthcare, Accounting and Tax. Other than that, I have been a Business Owner for many years. The plan I developed was to incorporate MLM in with my existing business.
I am an organizer. My communication style is Seller. My learning style is Procedurist. I am good at writing poetry, essays, public speaking, cooking, organizing, events planning and coordinating, talking, listening to and reading interesting things.
Eat and Dance the Night Away
My Dad loved cooking. He owned a café: ‘Evans Golden Slippers’ and people loved his food and loved to dance. As his children, we learned and received the “Art of Cooking” as an Inheritance.
Preparing a dish that delights the taste buds brings smiles. That is so beautiful. With my inheritance-the art of cooking-I began to get numerous requests for special dishes. It was enjoyable and the request kept increasing. Then one day, It hit me. People Love My Food. If they don’t mind eating for free, they won’t mind paying. From that came the hobby turned business-'En’ Joy’s Catering Service'. I did most of the cooking myself. Imagine making 50 pounds of Meatballs by hand. It was painfully enjoyable. My sister loved cooking also. She assisted me sometime. She enjoyed food. She enjoyed preparing it, eating it, and talking about it. If you wanted to gather a crowd of people fast, just let her start talking about food. People would start pulling up chairs. There was NO Food. She was only talking, but she got your mouth to watering. A few people may even start drooling. It saddens me though. She can’t draw a crowd anymore. Recently, we loss her. She is definitely missed. Yet, we have so many fond memories.
The Sum of the Totals
In addition to cooking, I also enjoy working with numbers. As a result, a few of my friends and family members began asking me to prepare their taxes. I enjoyed it as a hobby also. As my customer base grew, I went back to school and took Accounting. From that my Accounting and Tax Service blossomed and grew.
Make It or Break It – Why I Quit
Make it Happen. Make it Fit. Break the Mold Trying –Or Quit.
I am a People-Oriented Person. I had a simple Goal: Incorporate MLM in with my existing business. There was already a client base. So, what was left to do? Find something my customers wanted. A simple solution for A simple problem. At least that was what I thought. Wrong! I tried Avon. They didn’t want it, at least not from me anyway. After waiting a while, I tested the water again by trying something else. Again, they didn’t want it. This process was repeated several times-wait a while then try something new and different. Nutritional Supplements – No! Pre-Paid Legal – No! Something was seriously wrong. I knew it wasn’t me, so it had to be the Company. Solution: Find the Right Company. Idea. How many people do you know that Don’t have credit problems? That is right. Very few. In fact, the majority of people experience some type of credit problem or challenge. This is It! I had finally found ‘the goose that laid the golden egg’. You’ll never guess what happened. (Number Seven). I signed up with a credit restoration / repair company. A short period of time afterwards, the company went out-of-business. (Number Eight). I signed up with another credit restoration / repair company. Same thing happened. They went out-of-business. Wait a Minute – Something was terribly Wrong. I knew it wasn’t me. What would I do now? I didn’t quit then. No, not yet. (Number NINE). I found me another Credit Education and Restoration company and went to work. I called prospects, typed and mailed letters, created and passed out flyers, passed out CDs and DVDs, sent out e-mails, had meetings, seminars, did presentations and Talked and Talked and Talked. Do you know what happened? NOTHING. Not One Single person signed up for the Service or the Opportunity. At that Point, Breathing a Sigh of Relief, I had Proven to Myself that it wasn’t Me. It was the Company! Yes – you know exactly what I did then. That’s Right. I QUIT!
I had no plans of ever trying MLM again. That was it. I would do something different.
The Curtains Come Down
For several year I had read and did research on Affiliate Marketing and that was what I was planning to pursue at some later date. At this point the later had become now, so I began doing further research and increasing my knowledge. Since a website was needed, I spent a large portion of my time studying how to build an effective website. Started setting up my site, created the home page, was building content and right in the middle – BAM! Something Happened. The movie was over. In a short period of time – I was crippled. Pain traveled / radiated from my neck into my feet. The disorder I had was crippling, painful and debilitating. I spent the next few months going from one specialist to another. One of the Specialists said: “You are too Young to be this Old.” All of my tests were normal except one. Everything I was doing came to a halt – a standstill.
Is There A Solution Out There? I Need Answers
Then one day, out of the blue I get a phone call. I am cripple and someone is calling to try to get me back in MLM. I wasn’t Interested! Yet, he had some valuable information about Health and Wellness. I was Interested! Yes, I was. And while I was doing further research, I learned other ways to improve my health. Very Valuable Information. Priceless. So, since I Promote wellness through education, healthy choices, preventive health and self-responsibility, I took responsibility for my health by using beneficial products. I simply gave my body what it needed to (re-act in a positive way and) heal itself. The personal results I saw and experienced was nothing short of amazing. Revolutionary. Not only did I get back to my old self again, I feel much better than before - with energy to spare. How could I keep this to myself? When many of my friends see me they say “Whatever it is that you are using, I want / need some too.”
I Finally Found It
I had something to share. Something people needed to know. I am a ‘Health and Wellness Advocate’ – “The Leader in Lowering Your Risk of Leading or Living an Unhealthy Life.” Yes, I am in MLM again. Yet, I had to make sure things didn’t turn out as before. I was looking for something and yet didn’t really know what it was. I tried Nine times and failed. This is It. I am “Failing My Way to Success.” I am doing things differently and having success.
In looking back, I had the wrong perception of MLM. Success in MLM is a course in Personal and Professional Development that you continuously strive to improve upon. “Attitude is everything.” I’ve cancelled my ‘Paid up Membership’ in ‘The Losers’ Club’. I wish I had known just how important a mentor, a system and relationship building are. Now, my search is over.
I’m On My Way

I have something to share. I’m on my way. “Why Not?”
