About Me

Hi. My name is Wendy. I've been a 401(k) specialist in the financial services industry for the last 9 years. What I like about that is that I get to help people understand the plan they're in. I also help reduce the panic-selling low after buying high, due to media-hype when they should do the opposite, i.e., buy high and sell low.

And when I'm able to help them, it really puts a smile on my face, and I feel great. Also my company has a choir, and I get to sing in the choir and I love to sing.

The thing I really don't like about my job and really frustrates me is that I work in a call center. I don't know if you've ever worked in a call center, or not, but Here's how it looks.

I'm tied to the phone. I'm monitored all the time as to how long I talk to people. If I talk to long to them, even though I might be helping them, if I talk too long, it's not good for the company's numbers. It may have to hire more people because I'm talking too long. I find that really frustrating because I like helping.

And there's a button on my phone with "Aux" on it. I have to push a button to go to the bathroom. I have to push that button to go make a personal phone call. I have only so many minutes for break and lunch to get my personal business done - the doctor, the insurance company, etc. - they all have business hours the same time I'm at work.

This is very frustrating.

And when I want to go on vacation I have to compete with my colleagues for time off. If the slot I want is already assigned, I may not be able to get it even though I have already made plans.

So when I started my home based business I had the chance to work on my fortune part time. I'm hoping to eventually go on half time at my job so that I can have more choices in my life - and that's what I really want!

Also, the minute I started a home based business I was able to save a lot of taxes - and that's fantastic.

Look, I'm 2 years away from being able to retire with full retiree medical - with my business I'll have the freedom to do what I want.

Hi Wendy, and welcome to BetterNetworker, many people find this site very useful. For me, I am always pleased to meet people with the same mindset! Many people in network marketing have lost money, and most people don’t make what they dream about. Have you ever wonder why one person succeeds and another fails in MLM? The reality is that 97% of those who start an MLM business will not succeed. The foundation for long-term success was missing.
