Link cloaking is not exactly a good way to get people to know, like and trust you... Sometimes people want to know who you are.
Link redirection is better, because once they get to the site, they know they are on the real deal. When I go to a website that uses a cloaked link, I don't know if this is just a copy of the website on their server, so that they can get my credit card information or if this is the legitimate site.
So when you create links, try and make them redirect links instead of cloaked.
