The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) implemented by the Health Care Reform Bill, starts to go into effect on September 23, 2010. There are several changes that start now that will affect your ability to protect you and your family from financial issues in relation to your healthcare costs. We really should make sure that we are educated on this topic to protect ourselves as business owners.

Health care system
Chris, you won't beleive this, but my Master Degree is about Healtcare System, so i am well informed about all differend systems. In my country, Cyprus, we are trying to implemend something simillar the enlish system, which is a system where people pay 3% of their salary for insurance, and goverment pays another 3%. The system is being controled by the general practition doctors, and they deside if a patien must visit a speciality. There are special plans for workless, retired etc. but the main point is that, there is a health care for all, with the main idea of the system being that, those who are rich actually pays for the poor ones
One of a few laws implemented on Sept 23, 2010
Per New Healthcare Reform Laws: No longer will an insurance company be able to decline or even rate a policy for any type of pre existing condition for anyone under 19 years of age in this country. This applies to both group and individual insurance policies.
