A Careers Adviser with 30 years experience, I bring my considerable experience and knowledge to MyCareerMatch. Having advised thousands of students on choosing the right career pathway, I know that people achieve their best when doing things they are naturally gifted at and enjoy.
I was trained and appointed as one of the first full-time Careers Advisers in the NSW Dept. of Education in the 1970's. I have other considerable Education Industry experience having worked as a Regional Consultant in Transition Education (Living Skills), a Personal Development, Health and Physical Education Faculty Coordinator and a Primary School Principal for several years.
For the last 20 years, up to June 2008, I was the Careers Adviser and Vocational Education Coordinator at Christian Community High School in Sydney. During this time I was involved in trialing and developing many innovative programs in Career Education and Vocational Education. I have helped thousands of students to discover and explore relevant career pathways in their transition from school to work and further education and training.
In 2005 I was awarded the 'Hilary Bolin Award' by the NSW Careers Advisers Association for outstanding contribution to Career Education in NSW.
I now work as a consultant with MyCareerMatch in Australia and overseas. I see MyCareerMatch a vital tool that will assist students and career changers discover career pathways that best match their gifts and abilities and behavioral styles.
Since the launch of MyCareerMatch in late 2008 at the NSW Careers Advisers Association Annual Conference we have seen hundreds of high schools across Australia begin using this powerful facility. More recently we now have Universities across Australia joining our University Partnership Program to sponsor local high schools with their own customised version of MyCareerMatch.
