I've recently become the property manager for a 35 acre ranch in the Uinta Basin, near Roosevelt, Utah and live directly on the ranch. The property owners and I have some great plans for making the ranch a little Garden of Eden right here at home, with plenty of gardens, fruit trees, and even large plots of herbs to be grown for the owner's business Cedar Bear Naturales.
They produce non-alcohol liquid herbal products through a proprietary method that makes their liquid herbals stand up head and shoulders above their competitors. Alcohol extractions never stood a chance against this method!!! LOL
I work in the Sales Department now, do Quality Control/Quality Assurance for the manufacturing plant and occassionally help out with processing herb, bottling, and shipping, but I'm mostly busy with sales and marketing, and especially breaking into Colorado to open it up for wholesale accounts with retailers and practitioners.
Business is good AND growing!!!
Denise and our 7 children live on an acre and a tenth in a small rural community in northeast Utah's Uinta Basin along with our 5 cats, two hound pups, and one Porsche. Porsche is part pony and part horse and his name is "Porsche".
Denise loves her humble abode and it is almost literally a "Little House on the Prarie", except it's surrounded by farmland and mountains. The home was built in 1895, and is a pioneer style log cabin, with logs over 100 years old and rough cut timber for most of our walls and ceilings. Dimensions: 15' x 25', with a 9' x 11' addition back in the 30s or 40s that was a small store, once upon a time, and the second post office ever in Upalco. I opened up the attic and put a floor in for the kids' bedroom. Very, very rustic!
We love gardening and growing our own food as much as possible. The home is surrounded by garden on 2 sides that keeps us very busy in the spring and summer. Often we can still be eating stuff in December and January that we harvested in the fall. There's about 5 pear trees, 5 apple trees, 2 cherry trees, 1 apricot tree, 1 crab apple tree, 1 plum tree, 1 chokecherry tree, a few raspberry bushes, many, many currant bushes, and a small forest of various poplar trees and dogwood bushes. I did have a greenhouse I built myself, but it got beat up after being up for 5 years. Time to rebuild.... We really, really love growing things!
Denise is the preeminent stay-at-home mom and has always done a great job of being a mother to our children. Very supportive and tries to go to all the kid's activities, even as the kids grow and they become more frequent. (i.e; wrestling, piano recitals, concerts, football games, etc.) Her favorite right now is being a wrestling mom. (No, she doesn't wrestle... it's our oldest boy, Brady)
Randy has had scores of different jobs and the different work experiences those jobs have afforded him, most recently a truck driver, before discovering he is a "Psychologically Unemployable Entrepreneur" and loves working for himself from home, spending lots of time with the family and, as much as possible, doing other activities that his chosen lifestyle allows him to do.
Randy is discovering social networking is a huge and helpful world, loves helping other people out as he pursues his own success and is especially enjoying sharing great information and helpful freebies, with those who have ever struggled with their own business at home. (...and sometimes I just share fun links and stuff that I enjoy or like learning about)
When I first started jumping on the internet in 2008 to learn about lead generation through the internet, I went through a whirlwind education starting with Mike Dillards materials, going to MLSP, and finally settling on the community I found here at BN that is more like a family than a business. My newfound friends form a mastermind alliance exactly like Napoleon Hill suggests in Think and Grow Rich and we help each other at no cost to find success in our businesses.
I hope all that visit here are enjoying the community at Better Networker!
If I can ever help any of you call anytime. 435-238-4944 I'm serious! Anytime at all. I love helping people who are struggling in their business or looking to find their success.
