Who is Bill

I am an American who has lived in Ottawa, Canada for 30 years. Ottawa is the most beautiful city I have ever had the pleasure of living or visiting in different parts of the world. Many are great: London, Paris, Prague, Washington, Copenhagen, Tokyo - but I prefer to live in Ottawa.

I am married to Barbara whom I met 18 months ago at our mutual Arthur Murray Dance Studio where we both a take lessons and practice our ballroom dancing. I was a widower at the time. I have 2 daughters and three sons, the youngest is 40. There are 8 grandsons and a granddaugther and a great granddaughter.

I was born in Memphis, Tennessee a long time ago and spent 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps from which I retired as a major.

I quit high school before completing to join the Marine Corps and when I retired from the Marines I held a BS from the University of Maryland and an MA from The American University in Washington DC.

I have a wisdom for you. "Only those who integrate continuous learning and organized knowledge into their lives will grow and prosper in life in the future."

It is said that in the foreseeable future 500 million people will join the internet home based business revolution. I am just starting my third career and am becoming a internet referral marketing type. When I started looking at this new life I knew I did not want be selling products like health foods and soap or whatever and buying and selling inventories. In other words I did not want to be a mobile retailer. Well after some research I have found what I was looking for, services that effect the way people live and grow.

The primary service I have found is learning and access of learning. The question becomes how can one involve themselves into continuous learning every day of their lives and (1) have time for anything else, such as family and their job and (2) be able to afford the process of continuous learning.

To me continuous learning is the process by which we increase our professional. social and personal needs knowledge. Continuous learning can come in many forms, from reading newspapers, magazines and books to watching television, to taking classes on whatever, to watching videos on the internet, etc. It can come in any form, as long as learning occurs and we can organize the knowledge gained to support our growth personally and financially..

Here one can set up a personal or business website with a set of 10 email accounts and be able to participate as domain in the internet all for a very low monthly price. My Professional Profile

I am senior executive who is people and objectives oriented, over fifty years of progressive management and leadership experience with a consistent record of positive results. I have a firm grasp of portfolio, program and project management with strong emphasis on objectives control. I have performed at the chairman/president/vice-president/project director level of corporate responsibility for over thirty-six years.

I have significant corporate and military financial planning and management experience.

I have organized and operated of several project management services companies based on sound financial, marketing and organizational planning. I am versatile and quick to grasp new operations and environments and am highly skilled in written and oral communications. I have planned, led or supported a number of large complex projects over the years as project management consultant. The projects have included a web conferencing system, an airlines reservation system and major government facilities relocation. I have developed a commercial off-the-shelf project management methodology (PMM) and implemented and supported the PMM at client sites.

I believe that the CEO of a consulting services company must also be the Chief Sales Officer and have always fulfilled that role for my project management consulting and services company

I am available to fill interim CEO/COO/CXO positions for companies under contract.

My Past Professional Life

While I am no longer actively seeking assignments. I would consider VERY interesting assignments.

I have provided large and middle-sized clients guidance and mentoring on governing and managing the their project environments. Most large organizations conduct 100s of different types of projects annually with many of which are multi-year projects. They come in all sizes from small to multi-100s of millions of dollars. They are often multi-project and in some cases multi-company in their execution. The key is they all compete for usually constrained resources with clear corporate guidance of priorities and overall governance. For instance a large national bank or insurance will undertake several billion dollars of projects a year, most internal and a total cost item. What was their business case and impact on corporate operations during their execution and afterwards? It's amazing, even today, how many C levels are just not connected in and aware of the overall impact of this multitude of projects running, usually in their stove pipes without much awareness of each other, even today. My consulting practice was all about helping companies with this problem. As you conduct your business if you encounter this problem, I would consider the opportunity to help in exchange for whatever business arrangement makes sense at the time.
