I am enjoying the success journey while helping others and building my business.  Before I entered the industry, I had a banking career where I worked long (unpaid) hours that always benefitted the company, but never me.  I felt as if I were defined by my position and my long list of look what I can do on my resume.  I spent years telling myself it was OK for me to not be there for my children now because in the long run it would all be worth it and THEN I can make it up to them, because I'll be in a position where I don't have to work as hard or be away from my family as often.

Before I knew it my kids were out of diapers, in grade school, going on field trips and performing in school plays that I never attended because I had to work or travel for work.  Nothing is more depressing than having your child ask you to attend a school function and before you can even answer they've already answered for you with "I know, you can't come because you have to work."

Then, I was presented with the opportunity of my life.  I was laid off.  While most people view being laid off as a bad thing, I could not have been happier when I found out I no longer had a job.  I had already realized no matter how far up the corporate ladder I climbed, I would never have time for my family and there would never be a later. I would never be able to make up for lost time.  So, rather than balling up and crying about being unemployed, I saw it as an opportunity for me to start my own business and create ladders rather than climbing them.

I started doing my research online about Network Marketing and the more I read the more fascinated I became.  I chased opportunity after opportunity, each time with the same result...nothing.  Finally, I had a breakthrough, I realized why no matter the efforts I made or the opportunity, I still ended up with the same results.  Even better, I started applying my new discoveries and it's made all the difference in the world.  The best part is I've helped and met some great people along the way.  It's been a great journey that's no where near being over and I want to have as many people, who are ready for it, to reach their destiny.
