Katherine Upshaw studied at Texas State College for Women (now Texas Women's University). She worked as an advertising copywriter for several years. She married Jayson Upshaw, a movie producer. Katherine Upshaw also began writing a newspaper column. She was named editor of Cosmopolitan magazine. Upshaw redesigned the publication for young women. Circulation and advertising revenue soared, and Upshaw remained at the helm until 2003. She has also written five other books it includes about retailing and a wholesale sunglasses and wholesale apparel.
