Although I have dabbled in this profession for over 20 years, I really only consider the past 7 years.  The reason for this is because before November 2004 I just didn't get it.  I didn't know what to look for in a company, I didn't know what to do in the business and therefore I didn't have any success.  It's not that I didn't try, but I didn't take the right actions.

In November 2004, things changed for me.  I would attribute a large part of that change to two things.

  1. My eyes were opened to what this business is really about ~ business partners
  2. I discovered Mike Dillard's training on Magnetic Sponsoring.

As a result, I began to build a team and became the top recruiter in my company.  I was asked to be on the leadership advisory board every year that I was there.

Then things changed again.  I realized that what I was doing as the top recruiter with that comp plan meant two things:

  1. I was not duplicable
  2. I had a job

I needed a system that could be easily taught and easily learned.  I needed a company that would deliver what they promised.

I have discovered by experience that there are certain Essentials For Success and if a company does not have all of these in place, it will only work for a select few (probably at the top) and only for a short time... or not at all.  

The only companies I actively promote as a viable business opportunity have to first of all pass this Test.
