I was born in 1967, in Teipei, Taiwan. I had almost had come close to getting tatoo saying "Made in Taiwan", but thought that was just too tacky. I have enough scars on my body and adding a tattoo just didn't seem appealing. I have primarily worked in the Health Insurance industry. Yes, the market that the US government believes it can replace with a national healthcare plan. I completely understand the need for all Americans to receive health care, but, in my opinion, the entire healthcare and legal system needs a major overhaul before any taxpayer should throw any more money into that system. OK, enough for the political rant. The reason for the major shift in profession is the fact that I have lived through 3 layoffs since 2007. My first layoff occurred when 500 "valued employees" lost our jobs. I had worked for them for over 18 years. I had become a certified Project Manager, so using that skill, got another job quickly. Unfortunately, it was for company whose sole income was sub-prime loans. Hmmm, 2007 and sub-prime loans - not a good mix. Needless to say, I faced another layoff. I then landed a job working for UC Berkeley. With State and Federal funding dwindling quickly, and working for the government, the policy of last hired, first fired occurred. So, in three years, I've experienced three layoffs. I am employed, but feel I am on shaky ground as I recently survived a round of layoffs at my current employment, but fear another round is due soon. I'm tired of living in fear that I will someday be unemployed. I only have so much strength left in me before I completely give up. I am using what little energy and drive I have left to startup my own company. I have recently delved into the affiliate marketing business. I am a complete newby to it and MLM, so I am sure I will stumble along the way. I am doing a lot of researching to avoid becoming that person whom people run from when they learn I am in MLM or selling products. My recently startup has already run into snags. I don't have website design/coding experience, so I am watching lots of videos, and lots of reading. I think what I have put together so far is decent. Well, at least most of it is decent. My affiliate business all started with the purchase of electronic cigarettes. Since I have no intention on actually quitting smoking, I was browsing the internet to find a cheaper way to smoke. (leaving all the sales pitch out at this point). I became so excited over this product that when I was doing more research on it, I learned I could sell it and make a commission! Wow! How exicting is that? I put together a business plan and got all my ducks in the row. I knew I needed a website, so I picked a web host (not doing enough research there, I recently learned I paid way too much for my site). Anyway, then I was going to build my website and use Google adwords to advertise. Well, I quickly learned how electronic cigarettes are viewed by most persons. Google adwords denied my ads. I was shocked. My entire business plan went right out the window. After figuring out how to work around adwords' advertising limitations, I opened up my site to advertise products adwords "approved" of me selling. So much for working for myself. So now, my site sells products that I have some good feelings about and some bad. During my soul searching and trying to find ways to market my website, I stumbled on this site. So, here I am. I have joined several MLMs in the past (herballife, ACN, and Credit Repair). I almost joined Monavie, but decided that investing $200 for a case of fruit juice just didn't sit right for me. I guess I could say that I am a very opinionated person. If I believe in something, I spread the word. If I don't, then I simply walk away from it. I am very interested in learning more about the many MLM opportunities and network of experienced persons. I am sure I will add value to this site once I get a better hold of what I need to learn first. I don't want to spread false truths to make a buck, so help keep me honest. I look forward to working with you in the very near future.
