My name is Merle.  I am retired and age 66 this year (2011).  I was born in Gravesend, Kent, UK and went to school in Gravesend and then Technical School in Northfleet.  I married and had four children then moved to South Africa.  I then divorced while there and re-married and had another three children.  I moved back to the UK in 1981 when both my parents were not very well.  I lost my father in 1985 and my mother in 1995.  I miss them both dearly.  When I left school I got my first job in London as a shorthand typist, earning £6 a week which I thought was fantastic.  I have done several different jobs over the years, mainly office work.  I also did bar work for 25 years until I retired  6 years ago.  I then did a little bit of courier work but I moved to the coast and it was too far to travel.  I got in to internet marketing about 7 years ago and am still trying to get it to work for me, but I am determined now to put all my time and effort in to this work.  I take a couple of hours off every day to go to the gym but I am really enjoying what I am doing now and spend most of my time on the computer.
