I was oiginally born in Malaysia to Sri Lakan parents but moved to Sri Lanka when I was 6. I was blessed and grew up in a large family and have 7 brothers and sisters. In Sri Lanka I attended Mahajana College.

I left Sri Lanka for England to attend University when I was 20 years old and I have lived here ever since. The reason for coming was due to political problems within my country and to further myself I had to leave my homeland. I gained a degree in Mechanical & Production Engineering from Brighton Polytechnic. I worked in Engineering for a few years before I decided in a change of careers and entered the Financial Services industry.

I have been blessed with 2 wonderful children - Ramesh & Khalyani. Both have no grown up and flown the nest. I am so proud of both of them and they are both doing very well in their perspective careers.

I also have 2 grandchildren - Ela and Sena.
