Children Supporting Children

Again, the high school powder puff football game taught me a lesson in leadership and support.  Here we have 11th graders that dedicated their evening to supporting the girls playing football.  I'm sure that a lot of teenagers would rather be somewhere else.... but these were at the game! They wouldn't sit in the stands and watch.... they were right at the edge of the field where all the action is cheering their team on.  No other class (9th, 10th or 12th graders) had this type of organization.  Sure, there may have been a little scuffle on the field there towards the end, but it was all OK and amongst friends (and a competitive sport!).  I think these kids are GREAT and they will see much success when they continue thinking of others and supporting each other in such a positive way.
