Harnessing the Power of Digital Video for your Capture Page

I want to share an example of what you can do on a capture page in this digital age with video, sitting behind your desk at home. I did this for my site where I offer free training videos on internet marketing. First of all, just be yourself. It's great to watch how others express themselves, but in the end result, trying to be someone else will never work. Why? You won't come across as authentic in what you are saying. Let your personality come through and shine so that you can be the star you were meant to be. Who cares if you have a southern accent like me? Hey, some people actually find it endearing and don't think a person who speaks funny is stupid. Write your script up first...READ IT OUT LOUD...over and over again. That is a tip that a writing coach once shared with me. She said, "Just do it. You will discover what needs changing and what doesn't flow." She was absolutely right! Here's another tip I will share with you newbie neophytes (hey, let's face it...that is the most difficult time, just getting started). This is for those who simply feel too nervous and worried about forgetting what you want to say. Put what you have written into very large print in a word document, large enough for you to easily see without squinting as you sit your computer up high directly in front of your video camera. If you can't remember EVERYTHING you wrote...no worries, it is right there in front of you. It is like using a teleprompter in TV work...listen, if the concept is good enough for the pros, it is good enough for you, the newbie neophyte (or you long-timers if you haven't done it this way before). If someone is there with you, they can scroll it down as you are videotaping. If you are by yourself, and have PowerPoint and a projector and a wireless piece that allows you to change the slides, that can also work. Obviously, in that case, you have to have those tools, but this is just about sharing ideas. Be creative. Write different scripts. Shoot various videos with different scripts and see which you like best. If you can do split testing, see which video pulls in the most people through your capture page. Now, get ready to hit the button and say, “That was easy!”

Hi Dotti, I'd like to break into using my new camera

We just got a new Canon digital camera and I'm looking forward to using this new tool on my website and in my ads.

Thanks for teaching me!

your canon digital

Hey, Dianne ... you are so very welcome. My spouse is in the business with me, but also has a photography business (www.Images4Impact.com). She has a Canon 10-D for her professional work and a G-9 is the "little baby" that can do so much! What do you have? Our Canon G-9 is fantastic, but if I didn't have it, I would be looking into the new HD Flip Camera, mainly because of the small size that delivers a great HD picture at a very reasonable price. The newest version of the Canon we have is now the G-10. You can check these models out with me on My Space ... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendI...

My first video

Hi there,

I just made my first video in my home office. I'll post it online. Our new camera is one of the new Power Shots. My husband was just a little bit shaky at the beginning, but the presentation overall is better than the other 3 takes. It's not professional video, but it is the real me.
