This is a brief tutorial on how to set up a list using icontact and then generate a form script that you can add to your sites.  Adding a form to your sites will enable you to build a subscriber's list. Hope it helps out!

PS: icontact is an email marketing system like aweber or getresponse... fyi.

iContact and GetResponse Question

Hi Aymee,

Great Tutorial...thanks!

I presently use Aweber and want to make a switch. My question is whether or not iContact and Getresponse are basically the same service. Does one allow you to do something that the other does not?

Thanks again,

Frank

icontact vs aweber or getresponse

Frank

I am not familiar with getresponse and only vaguely familiar with aweber.  They are all the same and each probably have pros & cons.  What I like about icontact is the ease of use, their email templates and the fact you can import leads.  Not that you ever really need to, but sometimes I get emails from folks who want to be added to my distribution and instead of sending them to my opt in page, I can just add them. They also have a totally free 15 day trial you can take advantage of so you can check it out without any charges :).

Maybe another user here can offer a more apples to apples comparison, but as far as I know, they are pretty similar.

Good luck!

Aymee,

Perfect! That is exactly the information I was looking for. I'll be trying out icontact this week.

Thank you!
