Banner Adverting Really, Sorry I dont so.

I hate to rain on your parade.  Banner ads DO NOT WORK!  They stopped working in 1999 and have not gotten better since.  EXCEPT banners on a page that pertain the topic or subject on that page.
I've tested, retested and untested, split tested, move tested, place tested, subject tested...should I go on?

If I am wrong then I apologize. I was wrong onece but only about the choice between the "red" pill or the "blue" pill.

Good luck,

I am not sure where you

I am not sure where you advertise on, but I am satisfy with my results. My average CTR is 2% and I have sales for my banner ads. It's not the best but as long as I can squeeze out profit from it, I am happy.

Hi Jaz

Hi Jaz,

I've used Banner Ads with great effect in the past. I usually target blogs and forums with high volumes of traffic which don't monetize their sites very well. I can usually buy 1-4 weeks of advertising space on the site for very little because the owner doesn't know the value of advertising space :-)

I don't usually advertise for longer than 4 weeks because after that, most people visiting the site have seen the advert. After this period, I either move on to the next site or change my advert.
