The journey I've been through since Nov. 07
when I bought and read Mike Dillard's MS
book is to produce my own leads.
The holy grail of lead generation.

My organic leads started some months ago
and increasing weekly....so I'm succeeding.

Here's what to know before buying leads
to send them to your company's REPLICATED site.

Your company WILL NOT TELL YOU THIS.

You need a home online where you can brand YOU,INC!

This is where I spent most of the last 24 months or so.
Within that time frame I also got my sales funnel built.
Another huge topic that we teach in our free training.
And great training by the best here at BN.

And 3rd
So 3rd most important as I did this is to become
a better writer.
This never ends.

For those that are new reading this keep
in mind I was a 50+ year old technophobe with
zero knowledge of online marketing 3 years ago.

I'll tell the truth folks about this
since I noticed in my 2.5 year journey that
most gurooos do not.
They really do care more about you giving
them your money than helping you.
I know ...shocking...right?

So since Nov.07 I've built "MY HOME" online.
2 word press blogs, connected to the largest
social media sites including BN of course.
Properly set up by a web master.
So some advice here is for the vast majority
you will not have time to learn to set this up
yourself.
Big huge massive learning curve.
Outsource...there are many here who can
help with that ...including myself for a
word press blog.
My web master can do it fast and professional.

No I did not get off topic but felt that
simply telling new folks to buy or not buy leads
without some info upfront could cause them
to push folks to their new replicated web sites
which will be a waste of time.

If you are going to generate your own leads, you have to understand landing pages, optin forms, and copywriting. I highly suggest you get this training before you start spending money on traffic. I am not an advocate of buying leads. Learning these skills will be essential to long term success.

I definitely understand Nicholas's point, I am in the middle. If you are to become a great networker you need to understand why. Why what marketing works, why leads come from one place, why leads are better from here versus there. All marketing is to be tested and tracked.

I don't like the long term idea of relying on buying leads. I would suggest, if you are going to, to buy some leads, test and track and also know where and why they opted in, then, figure out how to generate your own. The biggest difference between a strong marketer and a weak one is testing and tracking. Nothing "Works", it is you that has to work and then take your market data/intelligence you gained and tweak your marketing

I do not usually recommend buying leads either, although I do see the value in it as a training tool, and there are some people (although few) that have great results with it.
I think Ray gave the best advice here. It is important to really understand your business, and your sources, who you are dealing with and also exactly how to deal with them.
Buying leads and getting on the phone with dozens of people each day was very helpful for me back in the day. I had zero results with buying leads, but I also had very weak qualifying and closing skills at that time.
Generating your own leads through an attraction marketing model, although there is a steep learning curve, will ALWAYS produce higher quality leads, that actually know who you are, and want exactly what you have to offer.

Has anyone tried listguy.com? They have all kinds of packages there. I like to know which ones are most suitable for funneling e-mail leads to a personal MLM site.

I did not want to hear that I need to test
and measure my marketing until recently.

But that was when I was over whelmed
with information.Up until about 3-4 months ago.

Now as I thought about measuring my results
I simply transferred my workout thinking
to my marketing thinking.

I measure my fitness always with my
love hate relationship I have with
my gruelling Russian Kettlebell
training.

As far as the why...you won't do a thing
in anything if you don't have a why.

I had OK results buying leads years ago but
I got too stressed at times speaking with duds.

In Old school 90's I was quite decent at the
3 ft. rule since tha's all we had.

But as you say Norbert producing your own
high quality leads will ALWAYS produce
higher quality leads.

Where/How to get high-quality leads is a question marketers face everyday. We usually hear them saying they did earning good results in just 12 or lesser number of months.
