Content Syndication - Streamlining The Process

Have you taken a look at the way in which you are syndicating content out to the social networking sites? To be more specific, the actual structure of your syndication process.

If you haven’t I encourage you to take a look at it and make sure you’re not making the same mistake I was making….

Syndicating duplicate content!

A few weeks ago I was checking out my Twitter profile and I noticed that a recent blog post I had made had been tweeted four times within five minutes.

Now that would not have been a problem, had it been other folks Retweeting my content. But with all of those Tweets coming from me…. It could come across as a little spammy.

How To Connect Your Social Networking Sites For Syndication

• Connecting Blog To FaceBook Page –
  • Search for NetworkBlog in FaceBook
  • Under the search results locate “APPS” and select NetworkBlog
  • Once you are taken to the NetworkBlog app, click on register blog
  • Select your FaceBook page and add your blogs RSS feed

• Connecting FaceBook Page To Twitter –
  • Search for IFrameWrapper in FaceBook
  • Click install
  • Click “Add another menu item to this page” and select the Twitter icon
  • You’ll be given 3 chooses – HTML, I Frame & CMS. Select I Frame

• Connecting Twitter To LinkedIn –
  • Login into your LinkedIn account
  • Hover above your name in the upper right corner
  • Click on settings
  • Click on manage Twitter settings
  • Add your Twitter account
  • NOTE: If you check “Sharing Tweets” this will only allow Tweets to show up on your LinkedIn account that have #in or #li in them.

I didn’t mention it in the video but by linking your accounts in this manner also allows your status updates to be posted on the connecting Social site.

So if you post an update on your Facebook page, it will also show up on your Twiiter and Linkedin profiles.
