How To Embed YouTube Videos Into Wordpress

This video includes step by step instructions on how to embed YouTube vidoes into WordPress posts, including how to make the video play automatically when the page is loaded.

1. Go to YouTube.com and select the video that you want to embed

2. Scroll down below the video and click on the "Embed" button.

3. Click the option boxes below that you want to apply to your video

4. Choose the size of the video window that you want to embed

5. Now click on the code below the video and copy all of it to the clipboard.

6. Now go to your WordPress dashboard and add a new post.

7. Click on the source button to enable the code view.

8. Paste the code into the source section.

9. Click on the source button again to return to normal view. Click on the "Centre Justify" button if you want to have the video centred (which most people do)

10. If you want the video to start automatically every time a person loads the page you will need to use the following code:

&autoplay=1&rel=0

11. Copy this code at the end of each URL in your YouTube code. The URL will be in there twice and will start with http://. Make sure you paste it directly before the end of the quotation mark.

For example: "http://www.youtube.com/v/TjPngsSz_LU&hl=en_GB&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&autoplay=1&rel=0"

12. Once you have done all this it is a good idea to preview the video to make sure it done properly before you actually publish it.
