Setting Up And Choosing A Theme In Wordpress

For people who have installed a brand new self hosted WordPress blog (click HERE to find step by instructions on how to do it) the first challenge you have is to choose and install the theme for the blog.

After a lot of personal trial and error I believe I have found the easiest to use theme which when manipulated is also an attractive looking simple theme. The reason that you need an easy to use theme is because unless you are a computer programmer or a web designer you will really struggle with the normal practice of editing the source code with complicated HTML and/or javascript code.

Most people want (or need) a simple graphic user interface to easily change the settings and to make it look exactly the way that you want it to look. Most themes that I have come across in WordPress are very difficult to work out and require a lot of technical expertise that I don't have time or any interest to learn. In my opinion setting up a blog/website should be a simple plug and play system that anybody can manage.
