Setting Up And Installing A Self Hosted Wordpress Blog

Step 1: Purchase a domain name at GoDaddy (approx $10 a year)

Step 2: Purchase your hosting at HostGator (approx $8 a month)

Step 3: Access your account with GoDaddy and enter the name servers that were provided by HostGator. The name servers look similar to this: ns111.hostgator.com. Copy and paste your name servers into the name server section of your domain in your GoDaddy account

Step 4: From the email that you got from HostGator click on the link to take you to your C-Panel.

Step 5: From your C-Panel scroll down until you see the Fantastico icon and click on it

Step 6: From Fantastico click on Wordpress and start the installation

Step 7: Fill out all admin and password fields for WordPress installation

Step 8: Record your WordPress log in details & open Wordpress and adjust the theme and design details.
