The psychic search plugin is obviously named to grab people’s attention – but it’s a very useful way to have easy & quick access to the search terms your visitors are typing in once they’ve landed at your website.

It doesn’t tell you anything about what your visitors searched for to get to your blog in the first place, however – for that, you can customize Google analytics, or use a Google analytics plugin on your blog.

I use this second method, as again, it’s a real time-saver in terms of being able to see how your visitors find you….and in some cases you get some real surprises!

So, using the pyschic search plugin in conjunction with a Google analytics plugin can give you some good clues as to what your visitors are looking for before they found your site, and once they are on it.
