Is the InterNET IN RUIN for Direct Sales Professionals?

This video is in response to the discussion between Mike Klingler and Norbert Orlewicz found at http://www.mikeklingler.com/index.php...

The winds of change are blowing. Direct Sales and Marketing professionals need to watch carefully the affects of massive marketing efforts by "pros" in this industry. These actions continue to change the way Network Marketers, Affiliate Marketers and Internet Marketers can carry out their direct sales and marketing businesses. (In the recent past Google, Youtube, Squidoo "slaps" many zealous direct marketing professionals. Is Facebook next? )

Hype vs Value? It is not all black and white!

Love it!

This is the leadership I love to see! And I know there are tends of thousands if not hundreds of thousands starving for this kind of "stand up and say it like it is" leadership as well.

Very Nice

Great presentation Jim.

There is a lot of fog on the internet for sure. It is becoming increasingly difficult to know "who to learn from" now a days, especially for new folks coming on. It's tough. Everybody is a coach, which is great in a way, but confusing. Wouldn't it be great if we could have some type of certification program designed that was recognized? You have to PASS (not just pay) to get it. This community certainly helps with that aspect.

This "massive launch happy" trend is insane. It almost feels like trying to put out a house fire with a bucket. But we must keep trying! If we all grab one bucket......?? :)

Thanks for your leadership,

We Need More Of This

I love it when be speak what the believe. People selling snake oil has been going on for hundreds of years, so it is nothing new. But the internet needs to have more people standing up and really providing value for a every person at every level.

Thanks for your article and your contribution

Wishing you all the success,

This information is vital!

As you say it, giving value to other people is a sound basis to build upon. Too many people online are neglecting this basic rule and are only looking for systems to make them quick and easy money.

Thanks for this information Jim.

Caring is King Content is Queen

Marketers who truly care about others and provide solid usable content and products will always have a solid long term business.

People who are greedy and just want to make a quick buck will increasingly have a hard time because the internet has made it easier than ever to spread the word.

Thanks for posting this video Jim.

Refreshing

Thanks! As a new marketer online, I find that I have to sift through everything. Quality is better than quantity.

Being the Turtle

Great video Jim. I struggled with the black hat/white hat issue way back when I started online in early 2007. At that point, people were just trying to put up spammy keword sites to get ranked at the top on Google.

I recognized that this wasn't sustainable AND wasn't providing value- so I made a promise to myself that no matter what happend, I would just continue to deliver solid valuable content.

I knew that this would take time, but I also knew that slow and steady wins the race. I don't have to worry about getting "Slapped" since I just focus on value. It's worked well for me!

Great Debate

Jim, Excellent - Natasha Excellent, I watched both videos. I personally have a statement on this.

I am passing from newbie to intermediate marketer. I've been on line for about 5 months and since then have encountered everything you and Natasha pointed out. The ability to make the correct decisions IS key. The ability to sort through the tremendous amount of information in this field is key and this is where the rubber meets the road.

Those of us who can do that, will win and those who don't will drop off as the confusion that sets in can be a huge wall. I have friends who've bought tons of courses and are more confused than ever.

The simple skillset of evaluating the relative merits of training material, what does a person need now and then getting in there and absorbing that material and implementing it is what will set the winner ahead of the runner ups.

I does take time and it is the crux of success or failure in this business.
