As I have mentioned above there are two things you are looking to achieve with article writing. The first is to have people read your post and the second is to get robots and spiders to read your post.

Now I’m not talking about our eight legged friends and R2-D2, but the things that Google and other search engines send out to crawl your blog. This will be taken care of in your keyword research and the longtailed words you put into the post.

• Firstly you have got to have a title to grab people’s attention. Things that work well are “Top 5 Ways” or “3 Things To Do On” or “How Too” you get the picture. People love to read about things like this and it must be something that will have a benefit for your reader. Also you want to put you keyword in the title as this is very powerful and Google will pick this up.
• Next get an image for your post and link you image to a capture page. People will always hover over and image to see if they can click it. Also an image is great when posting in Facebook as it will pull that image from you blog so people will click the image.
• Next you want to add H1, H2 and H3 tags to you post. These tags should contain your keywords and also they are used as sub headers. This helps break up the post so it looks easy on the eye.
• You content should be also broken into small sentences and use bullet point when writing articles. If people see 500 words all clumped together they will leave you site faster than they found it. The same amount of words spread out into small sentences and bullet points will make all the difference. It almost seems there is less to read when writing articles this way.
• Add a video to your post to show people what the post is about. This way you cater to two types of audience, those who like to read and those who like to watch videos. You can also link the video on Youtube to the blog post as well.
• At the end of your post you want to have a strong called to action. Give your reader a free gift and offer a solution to the problem you have discussed in the post. You can send them to a capture page or let them have a free download. I find the capture page works best as you get their contact details.
