What A Coincidence Diane

Thanks for posting this video Diane. It's actually a coincidence that I posted on Facebook on how tired I am getting of those that keep spamming my blog comments with useless garbage. Just like you said, "For their own benefit."

Great video Diane, as usual. Take care!

Hey are you calling me a cartoon?

Spam comments are a huge problem on my blog.

I use "Akismet" which is awesome for blocking
spam but occasionally it blocks valuable readers...

So spammers are really making everything harder for everybody.

Blog commenting builds relationships

Hey Diane!

Firstly, thank you so much for the kind words and the mention! :)

Nothing builds relationships like commenting on other blogs, as long as one follows your guide lines of course.

The first thing I ever do when someone comments on my blog is click on there link to find out who they are and what they are about.

And if you are doing to get traffic, even more a reason to be authentic and leave an impression with your comment.

@ Jason / Cartoon guy?:)
Yes, Akismet rocks. (I've found about 5 ways to pronounce "Akismet" and I'm still not sure if it's correct!:)

For bloggers who don't want to get caught in spam blockers, do not add additional html or hyperlinks at the end of your comment.

As Diane showed in the video, your name get's hyperlinked anyway so if your comment makes an impression, someone will click on it anyway!

Great video thanks again Diane!

Dear Jason ...Man Of Mystery

Jason...

You TRULY are an international man of mystery and
the sexiest guy at Better Networker..

Maybe on the the whole internet!!!

(Settle down everyone..I am on old lady married for 20 years and Jason IS an animation--so no harm no foul!)

Love your blog and all you do...

But alas...

I can not keep myself from laying awake late at night and wondering...

Who was that masked blogger????

Okay

Okay

She'll settle down now.

But seriously...

Askimet covers the obvious spam but
I was also talking about the MASKED SPAM
which is prepared comments that people use.

There are programs and systems out there that
provide pre written blog posts and comments to use etc
and I want everyone to realize that those things will never
get you what you want.

The coolest part about social media is that we can all THINK
and EXPRESS...

And THIS is what attracts the right people to us.

As I asked in a video I did a while back...

Does Driving Traffic=Having A Business?

And in my opinion the answer is no.

Lasting businesses are built around authentic communication
and content.

Not pre written "magic comments that will get you tons of red hot leads!!!!"

You can't skip the basics...

You can't beat the system.

People can TELL who is who.

They are NOT DUMB.

And this is why Better Networker is such an important
place for people to hang out and learn.

All you have to do is tune into a few pros..watch them...and then go DO YOU!

Thanks Jason and George and everyone else who is helping the newbies learn the way.

GOOD STUFF you guys are doing.

Another wind is blowing out there and things are gonna change yet again...

6 months to a year.

I feel it coming.

Time to really pay attention.

It's gonna be fun times for the people who are on board!

I'm glad I read this. I'm

I'm glad I read this. I'm new to blogging and social media. I didn't even know what blogging was until last winter. I found it hard to believe that anyone could have a site of their own and just "journal" and other people would read it. My kids got me up to speed and its not journaling "old school" but its blogging. Well I'm trying to keep up and with all the info on Betternetworker, I think I'll catch up with everyone and social media soon. Thanks for your insight on this issue. Delois McKay(deemckay)

Thank you....you read my mind, Diane :)

Thank you Diane! You are an amazing leader I love to read posts from and also your video's are great!
I am glad you are addressing this issue...I am getting tired of people on Facebook and Twitter, or even some forum's as more then 50% of them are there for a "sneaky reason" and they post garbage.
Or they connect with you and then right away send you an info on their business and start to recruit you or sell to you...gosh, you know...as they say "if its looks like garbage and smells like garbage...its definitely garbage" :)
In my opinion, its common sense...well maybe for some not so common :)
Keep up the good work and look forward to your video's!

I agree whole heartedly Diane

You are blunt but in a nice way Diane.
I also know you from MMM and Joe.
You are both awesome in your own way but different. I have that personality that "when you are a hammer everything is a nail."
I like to reach out and touch these spammers but I simply hit delete.
At 54 years young and reinventing myself over the last few years I try very hard to stay professional. I never spam anywhere since I know I hate it and yet this disease seems to grow online everywhere.
None of them can be MAKEING$ but yet it seems to even grow month by month.
It has to be the masses coming online monthly and globally.
The upside I guess Diane is we have many new folks to teach and educate and the stats say this will grow massively for many years.
This is reason enough if one has some vision to become professional.
