The Gentleman Farmer

This is a video of a Chicken Farm in the Philippines I have been sending seed money to since March of 2009. It's located near my wife's home town of Davao City, in Mendanao, and her two nephews are tending and building what appears to be a viable and substantial enterprise. In that area, as everywhere, "organic" is hot and there, Native Chickens are highly sought after and potentially lucrative. They've done their homework and have learned much for the area agriculture agency. The land has been in my wife's family for decades and the last time it was a working farm was well over 15 years -- so, they had a lot of work! Given they were starting at ZERO, I think in this video shows a lot of ingenuity, hard work, and creativity. I was in the Philippines earlier this year to bring my wife back to the US, but a visit to the Chicken Farm was a Must See. Long story short, I left very pleased with the progress!
