Creating A Killer Facebook Fan Page, (Creating Your Own Welcome and Ezine Menu Tab ) - Part Three

Today, we can be creative beyond your wildest dreams and create a platform that will get your prospects talking to you, attract their their circle of friends to your facebook fan page and do most of the hard work.

The best relationships I have found is the one that creates conversation with the prospects, that gets them to act, that gets people involved.

You can tell if a community is what it says, by adding a question and ask for engagement, and if none get involved, then you've seen one simple fact.

People get involved ONLY because of their own desired need. So we need to bear this in mind as we build our facebook fan page and keep coming back to it.

Let’s get started..

 

Create A Facebook Account

If you haven’t created a facebook account, then it’s time to do so. I would advise to use your real name because you are the business.
 

 

Secondly, if you use your name, then no matter what business you are in, what industry you are in – if anything changes, whatever the reason maybe – you have flexibility because of this step. MLM policies changes.

Laws change. Anything changes, it doesn't matter because you have branded your name, your skills, your value, your purpose and not the purpose of an MLM company or a traditional business company name. People know YOU because of your skill and values.
 
If you already have a Facebook account, just login with your email address and password.
 

Find The 'Create Fan Page' Button

When you land on your personal Facebook page, you might be wondering where is the button to create your fan page. As you can see, it’s not really that visible..

Scroll to the bottom of the page click on Advertising.

 

 

Choose Pages..

This will take you to a separate page and you may think you need to create an Facebook advert but we’re not going to do that.

Choose the icon that says ‘Pages.’ It has an orange flag beside it.

 

Press 'Create Fan Page' Button

This action will lead you to a new page, that looks similar except the button now is for creating a fan page. Click on the ‘Create a Page’ button.

 

Chose Your Category

You are now on a new page and you’ll need to fill the type of business you are in. Click on ‘business’ and then choose the type of business or niche you are in. I’ve chosen professional service.

 
 

Name Your Fan Page

Choosing A Name For Your Fan Page/Business.
Then you need to take care in choosing the name of your business.
I would advise to some time in choosing your keywords but so much time you don’t take action. Add your name at the end of the name.
 
 


Plus...we haven’t broken any MLM company Policy and policies change but we are not waiting for them to change. We are business owners and it's our business. The secret is You Inc.

Make Your Fan Page Invisible

It’s going to take some time doing the work, creating the tab menu, the design, the beefing up the profile, adding the html code.

Let's make your page invisible for now by ticking that little square and we can work without stress, frustrations and panic:
 

 

Launch Your Facebook Fan Page

When you are done and you're happy with your facebook fan page Category and name of your fan page, then press 'Create Page.'
 

 

 

Search For The FBML Application

If you have followed the steps so far, you will have a fan page that is empty at the moment and it is invisible to people. We need to add the FBML applica

 
Look up and you’ll see a search box to look for the application. Type these two words ‘static FBML.’

 

It will take you to the page where this FBML application. This is where we need to pay close attention. Click on its logo of the static FBML:

 

Add FBML To Your Fan Page

What this does is it takes us to the the FBML application Fan page. We need to add FBML to our facebook fan page. To do this, just go under it’s logo and click on the ‘Add to my Page’ link.
 

 

When you do that, a window will come up and you can choose which page to have it on. Look for the fan page you have created. Highlight just once.
 
Then look for the button next to it, or below it, that says 'Add to Page.’ Click on this button.

 

 

The window will stay open even after adding the FBML application to your Facebook Fan page. You need to press the 'Close' button. You're doing great mate. Keep going. You are nearly there.

 

Creating Your Own Tab Menu

We need to go back to the Facebook fan page we’ve created. I go up again on to the facebook search box and type in my fan page name or my own name.
It brings my fan page up and I click on it.

 

 

You're now on your fan page. Even though you've adding the FBML application onto your fan page, it hasn't done much yet but this coming action will change your Facebook fan page menu tabs.
 
Look on your right of your facebook fan page, where you're profile photo would be. What we are going to do is go into the backend system, where all the applications of your Facebook fan page are.
 
You'll see Notes, Video, Discussion and that's where we will find the FBML application to edit. So go under your profile photo box on your fan page - click on the ‘Edit Page’ link.
 

 

How To Edit and Rename your Tab

Here's where it took you - where all your facebook fan page applications are:

 

 

Scroll down until you find the name that says ‘FBML.’ and click on 'Edit.' A page with a box will come for you to add the title and code. Don't worry about the code. We'll come to this later on in other videos and articles.

 

 

 It will open a box like you see below. Type the name of your tab inside the 'Box Title.'

 
You can call it Ezine Subscription, or coupons, or the story wall. Look at your plan that you've created and type the title of your tab. .

When you're done, the scroll down and press 'Save Changes.'  Your tab is now saved but we need to just do a couple of steps and we are done.

 

 

Finding Your Tab On Your Facebook Fan Page

The next step is to go back to our Fan page so we can find where the tab is. You’ll see a link on the top right hand side, that will lead you to your fan page. Click on it.

 

 

 

When you arrive at your Facebook Fan page - You'll see nothing really has changed at the moment. Go to the box that has a sign of an cross. It's at the end of all the tabs.  Click on it.


You will see your tab that you have created. Click on it and it will automatically move it along with the other tabs.
 

You can see my tab which I called Begining and yes, I spelling mistake, but it is now done and I can edit later. Let's move this tab to where we want it.
