Today I am going to share with you two of my favorite ways to promote Facebook status updates.  If you are building your brand, generating leads, looking for sales on Facebook then you definitely want to pay special attention to the two different ways I discuss in this video below on how to promote Facebook status updates.

In summary you can choose to promote Facebook status updates through your advertising account in Facebook or you can now, if you have the option, promote Facebook status updates using the on page promote option when creating a status update.  

Whichever option you choose or if you choose both it comes down to knowing what works and what doesn't. I have done testing and I can say with the right kind of message that encourages fan engagement the Facebook Ads option is the better choice.  Pictures and videos go a long way in promoting your Facebook status updates.  These types of objects that you post will go more viral and get the attention of your fans friends. This is not to knock the new addition from Facebook where you can promote right on your Fan Page, I just do not have enough data yet to tell you whether it is more or less effective.
