In this post I’m going to be sharing with you the importance of branding for your home business online and why you MUST use it if you want to make a name for yourself out there on the internet.

I’ll also share with you the mistakes that you should avoid if you want to create a lasting and recognizable brand out there in the network marketing industry.

Before I get into the “nitty gritty” let me just say that if you think for one moment that creating a brand isn’t important then you’re dead wrong!

As a matter of fact, everytime you post a status update on any social network you are essentially “creating your brand.”

To give you an example of branding at it’s finest consider Lady Gaga.    You don’t know what to expect when you see her perform, she may amaze you or frighten you…either way she’s created a recognizable brand that’s got EVERYONE talking about her.

Why? It’s quite simple…she’s over-the-top, unpredictable and most of all AUTHENTIC.  She doesn’t care what anyone thinks, she’s being herself and people love it.

Now you don’t have to be as out there as Lady Gaga.  My point to you is that you’ve got to be different, and all that means is YOU being YOU.

Once you feel the urge to “follow the crowd” you will diminish anything that you had going for your brand, and for what your audience is expecting from you.

Below I’ve listed some really cool and simple ways you can start branding yourself and attract people to you and your home business.

Branding Tips

  • Keep it REAL

Nothing worse than trying to be like someone else.  The industry is hungry for authenticity and transparency.  The moment you begin to worry about what you’re saying and if it will offend someone then you have sold out to showing who you really are.  If you’re hungry enough you won’t let others’ opinions of you stop you from reaching your dreams.

  • Do what you love

Find a platform that you enjoy & master it.  Stick to what you’re good at.  It doesn’t matter if it’s videos, blogging, social media or article marketing, whichever you choose make sure it’s something you’re comfortable with & get good at it – REAL GOOD!

  • Don’t focus on perfectionism

People love to see that you’re a real human being and that sometimes you mess up (just like them).  If you’re doing a video and make a couple of mistakes in it, SO WHAT!  If your content is good enough, people will still return to see

  • Work Hard

 Become untouchable & knowledgeable in every aspect of your niche.  For an example if you have a health and wellness business, make sure you’re studying and giving your audience every ounce of knowledge that you know about the health industry in general.

Don't ever think that because someone has more credibility or capital than you that you can't compete with them.  Likewise don't ever think because you may not have as much skill as someone else that you can't dominate.

The playing field is even and anyone can take advantage but they have to be willing to put in some sweat equity.

Become knowledgeable in your niche so that people will spread your name and your content like wildfire.  It’s all about you getting your name, face and brand outEVERYWHERE!
