So True!
I know I've had a tendency to try to make mine "perfect". Simple suggestions, but they are true. If you're a perfectionist, you'll never get ANY content posted!

I totally did this!
HAHA this hit the nail on the head for me.. I used to write out scripts and put them on big poster boards and try over and over.. Since I felt very comfortable with my knowledge, I felt that people needed to see perfection in order to see leadership..it's TOTALLY the opposite! people need to see imperfection in order to see leadership.

Video Tips
Nice video advices!
As they say: "You don't always have to get it right, you just have to get it going".
Constant improvement is doable and achievable, perfectionism is not realistic or lasting anyway :)

You're absolutely right
You're absolutely right Joseph. The thing I like about online video is that you can just be yourself and talk to the camera as if it were a person standing in front of you. Everyone makes mistakes...we're all human. The more videos you create the better at it you will become and the more fun you'll have.
Hey Dave, I used to do the
Hey Dave, I used to do the same thing with the scripts, but it took the "fun" factor from making videos. It is important to be mentally prepared about the topics you want to talk about. The more comfortable you are with the topic, the more natural the video comes out.
By the way, I just checked out your intro video...nice! You did a awesome job with it. I love how you kept changing camera angles throughout the video. It kept my visual attention and kept my brain from tuning out :)
Video Tips
Hi Joanna. Thank you so much for sharing that quote. Whoever said it must have got A LOT of stuff done :)
It is so true...many people get stuck on perfectionism and it isn't realistic. It is a mindset that people have to learn to change over time.
great tips
I like the one of getting a usb mike. thanks
USB Soundcard and Mic
Hey Albert,
Many people don't know about the USB soundcard and microphone tip. It really makes a HUGE difference in the audio quality. The sound is much louder and clearer. They are also fairly inexpensive (under the $40 price point) and definetely worth the investment.
Mistakes Make You Human!
Nice tips, the microphone has a port into the usb? Is that what I saw? Thank you!
Mistakes Make You Human!
Hey David,
That's a very good question. I realize now that I went through that part of the video pretty quick. Let me clarify:
You can use any standard microphone that has a headphone-type connector on it. That standard microphone then connects into the USB soundcard (basically looks like a USB stick) at the "microphone input" connector. Then the USB sound card gets connected to the USB port of your computer or laptop. Both Mac and PC should automatically detect it and you can start using it for your video recordings.
Mistakes are good
I agree with you, a video with some little mistakes makes it more friendly. More people maybe will ask you questions afterwards.
If it is really perfect, it seems to be just an ad.
But we try to give educational stuff online to give real value.
Mistakes are good
Volker, you nailed it on the head. Thanks for reminding us that people will watch your videos to get value. As long as we are offering them value, then you video is "perfect" in my eyes :)
Well done
Great post Hani,
Mastering new technology is always a challenge and I believe anyone can do it with your simple and well laid out explanation there.
Thanks
Darag
Online marketing is not much
Online marketing is not much different from offline marketing. Always on the progress of any product need creative ideas and good market knowledge and category buyers. In the Internet still need to know more about where to effectively place their ads.

Well done
Thanks Darag. I really appreciate the kind words. Video technology is much easier than people think these days...and a lot of fun too! Please don't be shy to ask any video technical questions at any time.
