Is it April the 1st and I

Is it April the 1st and I have the wrong Calendar? If you mean stop it and try something else then at least what that is, if you actually mean stop it then Bob Proctor, Og Mandino, Joe Vitale, Jay Kubassek, Mike Dillard must all have it wrong. They all say the opposite, analyze what you are doing, seek a mentor and keep persevering.

If you seriously meant stop it - then that's the most perverse advice I have yet seen on BN.

LOL Good Reply, but not quite what I meant...

Hey Andrew, that was funny, but I didn't quite mean it that way.

I don't mean stop doing home based business, I mean stop failing at it! LOL

..and you're right, analyze, find a good mentor, and persevere... Extremely wise advise!

Thanks for sharing,

Randy

Thanks for the laugh!

Ok, I think that those two words can help us all in a lot of areas of our life... "I'm afraid to pick up the phone." STOP IT! "I think all of my friends will laugh at me." STOP IT! "I've never seen anyone be successful in this business, so why do I think I can?" STOP IT!

Just STOP IT! You can use it when a negative thought pops into your head. I used to do "cancel, cancel, cancel." But I like STOP IT even better.

Thanks Randy!

Have fun,
Lisa

Real Life Object Lesson

Hey Lisa,

I'm glad you got a laugh out of this. I thought it was hilarious and like you say, SO applicable to so many areas of our life, and not just business either.

My 17 year old son has seen this video, and on Thursday he came home with a downtrodden expression on his face...

"Mom, Dad I've got some bad news..." He looks down and hands us a piece of paper to look at.

It was a special invitation from the Utah Highway Patrol!

Yes, my son was invited to go to traffic court and take care of his choice to speed.

I simply said, "So Brady, I guess you don't like how it feels when you speed and you get a ticket and have to blow your hard earned money on the ticket?"

He simply answered, "Yes."

To this I replied, "Well, STOP IT!" LOL

He knew exactly what I meant.

Like I said, here in this little skit, Bob carries the wisdom of the universe on his shoulders!

Have a great day!

No one does it like Newhart

I've always been a Newhart fan, but this one might just make it into my top ten favorites of all time from him.

But it's more than just good comedy. This is great business advice.

It's kind of the yin to Nike's yang of "Just Do It."

Maybe we need a group here where we can post our fears and procrastinations and let others give us Newhart's advice.

I'll be the first volunteer. I love to set up new social media accounts but I procrastinate when actually getting around to creating content for them. Anyone have any advice for me? :)

Harry Edwards — Tue, 07/21/2009 - 7:31pm

Great question Harry! Here's my advice...

"Just Stop It!"

That's a great point - what you said about Nike. They truly go together.

It's really tempting to set up accounts in varying social media all over the web. I sometimes get caught in that web too, but I find overall that only a few truly serve me and the rest prove to be a distraction and are eventually shunned over time.

Find the few that really work for you and stay focused on those, and like I said, if you don't like that feeling of getting started in a new one and then not doing anything with it...

"Just Stop It!"

Abundance & Prosperity in all good things my friend,

Very true

This is very True Randy and I think most still don't get it. In time they will.

I had a mate of mine Randy was doing everything until I sat down with him..

"So you know all these blogs, different ones, should I.."
"No...outsource."

"And what about this capture page design, and the flowing of each stage of the strategy and.."
"No...outsource.."

"Ok, what about if....AND this AND that AND..go to five forums online and.."
"No, you open twitter, which is fine but listen....the goal is, not to be a jack ass and follow crowd. Just write the article, on your blog, and use a pluging and tools online to SYNDICATE.."

"WTF??? Syndicate? What's that..."

Then I knew, damn it man. He too is doing like 95%. Doing everything.
No wonder he has no.."time."

The goal is...

Create a team of people, even if they are in their own business. Come to a common goal of helping each other, to digg each other articles, to syndicate each others articles.

This raises the exposure, creates social Presence and ranking of an article for example on digg.

Same on twitter, get a discussion going with team and people see that and think, "wow, they buzzing."

Hence, creating the social presence, which creates the social buzz, which creates the attention, attraction, which moves traffic in.

I don't need to be an expert in social friggin media, and be in it for 10 years to know this.

We ALL do it in our life outside. LOL.

So STOP IT! Hahahaha.

Love it!

This was priceless! For me the message was, when you want to make excuses about 'why' you can't or aren't successful, STOP IT! When you want to give up because things are not going as fast as you would like them to, STOP IT!

Love it, love it, love it. Sent it too my mom too...LOL.

Maybe we could all say it to the current Administration regarding the new health care bill? STOP IT!

LOLOL

Have an awesome day!
Sharon
