Swimming in a Stew of Negativity? Get Out Before Your Momentum Gets Burned!
What can S-L-O-W D-O-W-N your personal momentum and activity? What can YOU do to RECHARGE it?
Fellow Better Networker Lynda Cromar's recent topic If Things Fall Flat... over on the Better Networker Forums area inspired me to answer this question as it applies to my personal momentum and activity...which will ultimately affect the momentum and activity I see in my business...
When I step back and take a look at why I might have a lull in my personal momentum and activity, I usually find I have allowed myself to be surrounded by negativity. (Yes...I wrote allowed! I take full ownership for the situation. And I also take full ownership for resolving the situation.)
What do I personally do? Here are the 3 tips I share in the video, plus a little bit more:
1. Disengage from the negative situation or person. If you can't fully disengage, then limit your exposure.
2. Immerse yourself in all things POSITIVE! Surround yourself with positive personal development...listen to audios ALL the time. Read positive, uplifting books. Turn off the TV and radio - so much negative news on there. Put down the newspaper that usually just reports the bad stuff.
3. Get to a LIVE event. This is a great way to erase the negative vibes and surround yourself with positive people.
P.S. Check out the forum topic to find a really cool response by Better Networker Instructor Richard Bravo where he talks about a lull in your business activity as being a natural season of your business and how it is important to identify the seasons of your business...
