Use Your Problems To Motivate You
I don’t know who first said that ‘problems are good’ but every successful entrepreneur has come from a place of struggle and has had to motivate themselves away from a place of discomfort. So in this regard, I agree, problems ARE good. Problems can either make or break you. They can either make crumple and give up…
OR… you take responsibility and take action to do something about your problems.
Which one you do depends on your outlook but if you are reading this, I already know that you have the mindset of someone who seeks solutions. Because we are either seekers or avoiders. Seekers use their problems to motivate themselves to find a better way. Avoiders are the ones who bury their heads in the sand and try to find ways to escape from the problems.
Very often network marketers start a network marketing business from a position of trying to escape problems. The problems could be anything from disliking their job to being in debt.
The Different Ways That We Motivate Ourselves
Being aware of our motivation is a big part of We all have different ways of motivating ourselves but primarily there are two directions that you can motivate yourself – AWAY FROM motivation and TOWARDS motivation.

What would happen if you don’t take action? How would it feel if these problems carried on FOREVER? This is a very powerful motivational technique and by magnifying these unpleasant thoughts in your mind, making the images particularly vibrant and unpleasant, you should in theory be determined to strive forward.
The Issue With Only Using Problems To Motivate You…
The problem if you are just moving away from your problems, as the discomfort starts becoming less (in the example of money problems, you start earning a bit extra money), you will be less motivated to carry on. You will stop taking action as the pain that was driving you is now not so painful.
Has this ever happened to you?
This is why it is so important to have a VISION.
‘Pain pushes until vision pulls’ ~ Michael Beckwith
Being aware of how you are driven and understanding your motivation is important in working out how to best succeed. Look back at any previous successes or failures and see if there is a pattern to how you performed. Did you start having a certain amount of success and then slow down for some reason? If this happened, it could be down to a number of factors. Maybe you don’t think you are worthy of success and in that case you need to work harder on yourself. But probably the main reason for this behaviour is not having a strong enough vision and believing in the possibilities.
In conclusion, pain and problems ARE good if you are someone who will use them to find a positive outcome. Use your problems should only be used as a catapult to get you into action. You will need a vision. Having a vision will motivate you in the right direction – FORWARDS!
