When to Quit your MLM Company

Great Information, Eric. Just today I was talking to a lady that had left her company, and I commented to her but please don't leave the Industry because it is my belief that it is the best distribution system in the world. Keep up the good work.

I agree

I completely agree with you, Kit, and Eric, that NWM definitely has the best distribution system in the world. It's truly the best way to build a business that will bring us a life of freedom in every sense of the word. Sometimes we truly need to quit the company we are with currently, after evaluating it like Eric has showed us on the video, but quitting the NWM profession should not be an option for us.

Wow ...

Thanks Eric.

One of the most honest videos I ever have seen related to this industry. You are a true leader.

When is a Quitter Not A Quitter

Eric...I could not agree with you more.

I went through MUCH guilt over leaving companies for the reasons mentioned. I did not want to be a quitter. I felt like a trapped fly hitting the window. I could clearly see where I wanted to go but there was something in the way. I knew if I did not escape I would end up dead on the windowsill.

Sometimes quitting is a prudent business decision. I quit one company because the products, training, meetings, and tools were so expensive I could not afford anymore success! Another company got greedy and would randomly change the comp plan. Another, my upline sponsors were motivated purely by greed. No support. They were constantly lying to people to get them to do what they wanted. They were also raiding their downlines for themselves and other companies.

Some people...(and companies) are MLM sharks. But just because there are sharks, the ocean is still a great place. You MUST know where the sharks hang out, what attracts them, and what not to do to become shark food.

Reply - Quitting Your MLM

Hi Eric, I would like to thank you for saying out loud what I am sure a lot of people are thinking, or have been thinking and probably have thought about for a while. I know this has happened to me in the past and the company's ideals or expectations just do not meet your own any more!

Maybe it is time for a re-evaluation?

All the best

Glad you brought that up

Hi Eric,

I am really glad you brought that up. Especially the difference between quitting a company and quitting the industry altogether.

Awesome video!

Best wishes,

Ilka

Great Message

Hi Eric, thank you for sharing your point of view, such a great message. I love the fact that you focus on being a professional in the Industry and staying in the Industry. Like you I have changed companies in the past however what I didn't do before I quit was to ask myself the real question, Have I done everything I can do? I must admit I blamed the comp plan, the price of the products and what I thought were negatives about the company values and integrity.
However in hindsight (now being the expert that hindsight allows us to be!!) I realise that I did need to look at me and my beliefs and my willingness to grow as a person and as a professional in the Industry.
I agree with your point of view if there is an integrity issue get out, and I also believe that a strong focus needs to be placed on self evaluation. I believe this is so, so, important and I would urge people to seek a mentor and do the internal check up before taking any action to quit a great company. As you so rightly said sometimes you are just one person away from the result you are looking for.
This Industry benefits from professionals like you thanks again for a value packed post.
Enjoy:-)

From The Hip!

Eric, I didn't find it controversial at all, sounded like good common sense to me. I especially appreciate the point to Never quit the MLM business, just find a home that works for you...it's there for the taking! Thanks for sharing.

Well Said

Eric , Thank You , so very much .You said what I always felt , that if you feel that if there is a issue of you not feeling that you feel right for the company , or the company does not feel right for you , than move on , move on to another company , but do not QUIT NWM. I did this after a year with a company , but I never did put my effort in , because it just did not feel right. I just did not feel comfortable with this company and I just never liked the way meetings went . There seem to be a power struggle at the top .
I have found a Fantastic company and I just need to apply myself now .
Thank You for this great message ..

Game Excellence VS Excellent Game (In the MLM Realm)

Hi Eric,

Thanks for sharing such a great video (and you make it look so professional).

I took my title from a lesson I got from Tony Robbins.

Being in a Network Marketing company is akin to playing for a basketball team. You may be in love with the game of basketball, but if your style of play and your beliefs do not coincide with the team you are with, it's best to move on to another basketball team that will bring out the best in you, and one where you will give your best, willingly and without having to think about it.

Playing basketball is about game excellence; you strive to be the best you can be and bring out your excellence. An excellent game is just having a one-off. What you want is to be in a situation where you have excellent games (regularly), and this will lead to your having game excellence (in basketball at large). Now, this only happens when you can be the best you can be, and this only comes about when you are with a team you are in tune with and where you can be the best you can be. You have to believe in the team, it's values and it's style of play. You have to be for the team, as the team is for you.

MLM is no different. To succeed, you have to do something you are passionate about. Being with a company where you don't believe in the products, practices, or business practices does not motivate you to give your all. When you are passionate about something, it shows and even your actions show. When you are passionate about something, you just want to be the best at what you do. Being with the right company, that has products and business practices you believe in will give you the drive to be excellent at what you do with that company. This will re-inforce your excellence in the MLM industry.

No matter what company you may be with, the MLM industry is a great one to be in. If you are with the right company (one that is committed to you, and one you are committed to), this fact is re-inforced. Being with the wrong company just re-inforces the opposite.

Thanks for shaing the video Eric. And I especially liked the contribution by Sharon Kuhn and Linda Cargill-Selfe.

Quitting a Company

That's great Eric, I have done just that, quit one company and joined another who do actually behave with integrity. It feels so much better, and I know I can now succeed.
